Unbreak My Heart: Book Two
Country singer turned rancher Brett Taylor fought his way out of the bottle so he could have JT Campbell in his life. JT’s patience, intelligence, and humor broke through Brett’s walls of depression, and now the once-isolated rancher and his young California guy in search of himself are together on Brett’s Texas ranch.
While Brett and JT are more in love than ever, they’re still dealing with past baggage and learning how to move forward. Brett’s former lover casts a long shadow over their lives—one JT tries to pretend doesn’t bother him. Can Brett soothe his fears with the sort of sappy, sentimental Valentine’s Day JT was taught to shun growing up—but secretly always wanted?
When Halloween rolls around, a costumed night out at the local bar might lead to another romantic first. And on Christmas morning, JT awakes to some sweet loving and the most meaningful gift he could ever imagine. The New Year truly brings a new beginning—ushered in by some silly, sparkly, and sexy fun.
One year. Four important holidays. Two men who have worked hard for the love and trust they share and the bright future that’s finally within their grasp.
REVIEW:
I really fell for JT and Brett in the first book and couldn’t wait for more of their story!
JT and Brett have overcome a lot in their lives. JT grew up in a home where money and social status was everything but love and acceptance was not ever happening. Brett lived through the most horrible thing that a man could live through…the sudden death of his partner. When Brett and JT finally got together and fell in love you would have thought that would be the end…HEA and all. But not the case. As Valentine’s Day comes Brett is acting a bit strange and JT is letting old nerves get the best of him. “Unbroken Hearts” gives us an update of our two favorite men and how they celebrate four fun-filled, emotional and very sexy holidays.
I read a book recently and they had a link for each song the character wrote and sang. I so wish we had that option here but then again, the song can be as sweet, sexy or sappy as my heart wants it to be, in my mind, at the time I am reading it. I loved Brett’s heartfelt songs to JT.
We also get a glimpse how Brett’s best friend, Ray, and his Mama, Millie, are getting along. They are such a hoot and it was cute to see Brett get all protective of his Mama with Ray pursuing her.
I understand that JT is much younger than Brett and he has some pretty significant hurdles from his past to overcome. I also know that Brett can be a bit clueless on how JT is handling these new feelings and how to belong in a relationship for the first time in his life. JT got a bit angsty in the Valentine’s Day part of the book. At first I was questioning why but it all played out perfectly. He’s a young man that needs to learn what true love and caring is all about. And Brett and his family are just the one’s to teach him.
That is what this book is to me…learning to overcome obstacles that you were brought up with in your life. And learning to trust someone special in your life. I really liked this book. It was sweet and poignant. Can’t wait for the next one in the series! A Cowboy and a Surfer…the perfect match!

This looks like a series I’m going to have to invest in!
Thank you so much. You summed up the book just perfectly. 😀 Not sure if it’s possible or not but you’re using the old Amber Quill cover so I’m not sure if you can change it now. The review made my day by the way. 😘
Sorry!! All fixed 😉
