For Ángel Medina, adjusting to life after his cartel nightmare is hard enough without confronting memories of a failed relationship. All he wants is a fresh start. But when a violent stalker lashes out from the shadows, Ángel realizes his nightmare is far from over.
As the stalker’s obsession escalates and bodies start dropping, Charles and Ángel are thrown together in a desperate search for the culprit. Tempers flare and old passions reignite, drawing them back into the same turbulent relationship that once ended in disaster.
But the stalker isn’t letting go – and the next strike might hit straight through the heart.
STORY REVIEW:
This was a fantastic thriller! The action was amazing and the tension was off the charts. I never lacked for something to keep me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more! I will admit I had an inkling of who the baddie was from the very beginning but I was never 100% sure. And then once I was sure, man I was hooked and needed to see that person captured and the good guys prevail!
But my favorite part of this story was the way I easily felt the relationship between the main characters. I totally felt the need between these men. You know, that feeling you get when you just can’t stay away even though you KNOW it’s wrong and destructive yet you keep coming back time and again. Yes, so totally clear to me I could taste it.
But that wasn’t all. There was great relationship drama and growth outside of the bedroom as well. These men were broken and it was not easy watching them self destruct. Yet they still leaned on each other just as hard as they fought the attraction. I know that in the end, the big revelation was forced on them, but it felt no less sincere and organic when they made the choices they made to be together. I fell hard for this relationship and was left feeling like it would last through time.
I highly recommend this story. I know I have been saying that a lot lately, but I have managed to pick a bunch of winners and this one is high on that list. It was a great story where the plot and romance needed each other to succeed and it was a ride worth your time.
NARRATION REVIEW:
Great narration. I felt the tension and emotions and easily distinguished between all the characters. This was a good fit for Nick J. Russo.
