REVIEW:
OMG the Dreamspun Beyond line of books continues to make me so happy. Dragon’s Hoard was just so adorably sweet and romantic while also being hot and sexy. The tag line says it all. “To be loved by a dragon is to be treasured.” It was all about the romantic gestures and the sweet connection of loving with your whole being and I felt every ounce of love and attraction and romance.
This world was fascinating. The hierarchy of the shifter breeds as well as the pack structure was well presented. It was easy to understand and fantastic to watch Avery turn it all upside down!
I loved the way the human sides and shifter sides were presented and how well they worked together. I loved Avery’s wolf and Warwick’s dragon was so beautiful to imagine. And let me tell you the dragon jokes and references were awesome! Avery’s snark was a perfect compliment to Warwick’s old world demeanor.
This was a very low almost no angst book. Everything lined up perfectly but not in a “OMG ITS TOO EASY WAY” but instead in a “OMG THIS IS PERFECT AND SAPPY AND ROMANTIC AND LOVELY” way. I know some people will want more plot and more action but for me, this was just right. It gave me exactly the emotions I needed when I needed them.
I really fell in love with this story. Avery and Warwick were perfect and perfect for each other and their romance was sappy and grand. Get your toothpaste ready because this one may cause cavities but it was just so creative and imaginative and this it totally me fangirling over this gushy gooey sappy happy ending.
