ETHAN:
I’m not used to anyone having the upper hand over me, and in a single night, Sean Wright rescues me twice. That’s why he intrigues me–why for the first time, I want another man. I’m used to getting what I want, and I don’t plan to let anything stop me. Only…he continues to get the best of me, and it only makes me want him more. When I start to see Sean’s not just good looks, hot sex, and constant competition, I realize I’m in over my head…and I might like it. He makes me laugh, and he understands the pain I feel over my past, a pain we share. Even more than that, somehow, Sean gets me, but I’m not going to lie and pretend that giving my heart doesn’t scare me.
SEAN:
The night I rescued the presumably straight Ethan Harris…twice, I figured that would be the last time I saw him. However, he keeps finding his way back into my life and into my bed. Guess he wasn’t as straight as I thought. Ethan’s full of surprises, though, and being bi is just one of them. As cocky as he can be, he’s also sharp and witty…and even when he’s being his most arrogant self, he’s charming as hell. He likes to win, but so do I. However, as we get to know each other, I realize there’s more to us than the games we play in and out of the bedroom. It’s a game neither of us have played before–one we could both wind up losing. And with our hearts on the line, the real question is, when push comes to shove, are we both up for the challenge?
REVIEW by Cinnamon
Up for the Challenge is a true feelgood love story. It’s light, fun and entertaining with a bit of a sad undertone, full of sizzling sex and the most amazing banter I have read for a long time. Sean and Ethan have a wonderful chemistry and a truly special connection that shine through all their interactions.
They way these guys talk to each other, tease one another and bring out the best in the other makes this book really memorable. If you are new to this genre you will have a definite blast. If you are an oldtimer, like me and you are looking for a bit of a relaxing time to get out of reality, this book will give your heart some uplifting warmth and your libido a definite wake-up call.
I love the nicknames Ethan and Sean use for each other. Ninja and Straighty take their relationship to a whole new level.
Ethan’s journey of self discovery is very well written by these two writers and it gives a great opportunity to show a detailed sexual discovery as well, so if you don’t enjoy book with lots of sex, this one is not for you. If you love sex scenes you will get your fair share. However, it was a bit overwhelming for me. Not that it was too much, this is what the story is mostly about, it’s just the balance was a bit off at times. On the other hand, we are talking Riley Hart and Devon McCormack kind of well written, various, sensual, playful, sizzling hot sex, so we are in for a wonderful treat with every hot encounter.
The story also has some great moving, truly heartwarming moments and scenes I really loved and I hope you enjoy this fun, sexy ride as much as I did.

REVIEW by Danielle
So Cinna convinced me to duo with her on this as she knows I am a fan of both authors myself. So the pressure was huge lol j/k. It is a book that I would take time to read anyway 😉
The duo writing of McCormack and Miss Hart is gold and that is an undeniable fact. What they “cum”up with just seems to work.
After the latest series they came up with this wonderful story completely out of the blue. The release was unexpected and for me I could say the same about the story and especially the characters in this novel. Not just the main characters Ethan and Sean, but just as much all the side characters who have a significant place in this story. Lee the best friend, Sadie and Owen the coworkers and friends, and parents Martha and Brady.
Focusing on Ethan and Sean, the chemistry is off the charts there. The cockiness and snarkiness I loved it! How they met and got together you have to read for yourself. I am in no way going to take away because you have to experience that on a personal level.
For me though, I am most impressed by yet again a totally different story by these two authors. The exploration of Ethan’s beliefs and thought were enthralling, interesting and let face it, extremely sexy. The way he and Sean act together, what they come up with, how they handle things including themselves is fascinating, humorous and yes again sexy as hell!
The added drama was to me necessary to have had the full reading experience because you are kind of expecting a very erotic story by these two authors and for me personally it needs a bit more than that. Hence why I am most impressed by the journey of both these men and the handling of their losses and lives. I would even go so far to say it could have done with a bit less sex (and that coming from me).
Overall a very enjoyable story and a great addition to both author’s collection.
If you are looking for an emotional, sexy ride, step on board of this one.
I will be waiting to ride the next one for sure ……. 😉
