The next author featured in our official GRL blog tour is author Deanna Wadsworth ! Deanna talks about her duo personality at GRL and brought with her a giveaway for our readers.
Welcome Deanna 🙂
Both of my personalities cannot wait for GRL!
by Deanna Wadsworth
Oh, am I excited about getting ready for my fourth GRL!
Come on Denver!
There is just something so AWESOME about attending GRL. I’ve been to many cons in my day, but nothing compares to being around all the wonderful fans and authors of gay romance.
One of my favorite things—besides all the fun parties, cocktails, and dancing—is the comradery. Seeing old friends, making connections with familiar faces, and meeting new people. I’m not the only person to say this, but GRL is like my Facebook come to life! All these fun people I network with, communicate with online every day are suddenly real and right before my eyes.
And while I have only missed two GRLs (New Orleans and San Fran) I feel like I am a member of this fabulously weird, awesome family. But even family doesn’t know you as well as they think sometimes. That’s why today I wanted to introduce you to my other side…. K.D. Worth.
Have you met her?
She writes paranormal YA and doesn’t mind at all if people know we are one in the same.
I created a new pen name because my YA is very different than my Deanna writings. Still romantic, but very spiritual and only a little kissy stuff. My first book THE GRIM LIFE was released in spring 2015 and the long awaited sequel THE WOUNDED HEART has come out this summer.
If you’re looking for something new and different to read, I would love to introduce you to Max and Kody. They are two unique yet similar teenage boys who have led very different lives and connect one dark, sad night—altering their lives forever.
Max Shaw is dead. Well, sort of. After dying on prom night, Max was recruited by a mysterious tattooed angel named Slade to join a group of teenage reapers. Cocky and sarcastic, Max thinks he has his afterlife together, but the moment Slade assigns him to his first suicide case, everything changes. Christian college student Kody Michaels is struggling to make sense of his life and his faith. After a failed suicide attempt at an antigay camp, Kody is determined not to fail again. Tired of disappointing his family and God, he is going to end his life once and for all. But in a split-second decision, Max saves Kody—defying the rules of a reaper. Max believes his only concern is convincing Kody that God loves him just the way he is, so he can save him from a hellish afterlife as a shade. Little does Max know, some shades have found a way to walk among the living as wraiths. These evil wraiths know Kody has been slated for death, and they have another, darker purpose for him. Max has only one night to save Kody before one of Slade’s team finishes the job Max lacked the courage to complete.
But what happens after they die? Do they simply live happily ever after? Or is something bigger on their horizon.
Check out the blurb from THE WOUNDED HEART:
Dating is tough… especially when you’re dead.
Teenage Reapers Max and Kody are ready for their afterlife to settle down. But their boss, the mysterious Slade, fears that spirits stuck in limbo have taken an interest in Kody. Which means the spirits’ evil counterparts—the wraiths—can’t be far behind.
Max would be livid if he found out Kody was still checking up on his family, a big reaper no-no. But Kody’s mother and sister are struggling after his death and he wants to help them. Unfortunately, the wraiths have found a doorway to the land of the living by channeling that grief, bringing death and destruction with them. Max and Kody hope to stop them before anyone gets hurt, but they may not be strong enough.
Through devastating losses, an ominous prophecy, and a new destiny revealed, Max and Kody must find a way to trust and accept each other. Their enemies are powerful, but there’s a single force they cannot stand against—love.
So if you’re looking for something spiritual, loaded with angst, ad served up with a little undead adventure, check out my alter ego K.D. Worth’s GRIM LIFE SERIES. Then keep your eyes peeled for the conclusion of Max and Kody’s sad, uplifting, romantic, and scary journey, THE LOST SOULS, coming next summer.
Thanks so much for hosting both me and K.D. Worth for this GRL blog tour. We can’t wait to see all of you in Denver!
One commenter who shares their fave thing about GRL will win a copy of THE GRIM LIFE.

A Men of Gilead Novel
City boy, sci-fi novelist, and recovering pushover Scott Howe doesn’t know what to expect when he inherits his grandmother’s house outside the quaint village of Gilead, Ohio—but it isn’t an enormous bald man in nothing but tighty-whities and orange rubber boots shouting at him to keep his weed whacker away from the rhubarb patch.
Scott has never met anyone like Phineas Robertson: homesteader, recluse… Republican. A tender—if unlikely—friendship grows over the summer while Phin and his schnauzer, Sister Mary Katherine, teach Scott about life in the country and the grandmother he never knew. Opposites attract, but widower Phin worries his secret will send Scott running faster than his politics, and Phin isn’t convinced he deserves a second chance at romance.
Scott is convinced—rural life, and his one-of-a-kind older neighbor, are the future he wants. Before he can settle in, his mother drops a bombshell that strains their already tenuous relationship, and a cousin who believes he is the rightful heir to the property puts Scott in danger. It’ll take a lot of compromises, and even dodging a few bullets before they’re out of the weeds, but nurturing something as special as true love always takes hard work.

Deanna Wadsworth might be a bestselling erotica author, but she leads a pretty vanilla life in Ohio with her wonderful husband and a couple adorable cocker spaniels. She has been spinning tales and penning stories since childhood, and her first erotic novella was published in 2010. She has served multiple board positions at her local RWA chapter and is the current President 2017 for Rainbow Romance Writers of America. When she isn’t writing books or brainstorming with friends, you can find her making people gorgeous in a beauty salon. She loves music and dancing, and can often be seen hanging out on the sandbar in the muddy Maumee River or chilling with her hubby and a cocktail in their basement bar. In between all that fun, Deanna cherishes the quiet times when she can let her wildly active imagination have the full run of her mind. Her fascination with people and the interworkings of their relationships have always inspired her to write romance with spice and love without boundaries.

K.D. Worth has always considered herself to have the heart of a teenager with an old soul. When not talking to the characters living in her head, she loves to hang out at her favorite townie bar, then go dancing and partying with her husband and friends. On the flip side, K.D. enjoys spending time in her vegetable garden, canning the food she grows, and making homemade jams and jellies. These two different sides to her personality create a layered tapestry of life experience that brings depth and believability to the characters she writes.

I can’t wait to read this book!
I love hearing about all the great authors going to GRL (and adding titles to my TBR mountain). Thanks for sharing your two personalities, and have a great trip!
Have a great trip. This book sounds so great. Reapers, religion, mystery, what more can one ask for?
Have fun at the GRL. I hope I will be able to assist one day, but up to that moment I really enjoy meeting authors on blogs and reading about their experiences there…
Thanks for the post, I’m looking forward to my first trip to GRL this year!
Thank you for the post. I had no idea K.D. Worth was pseudonym Deanna used. I hope you have a fantastic time at GRL
The topic of this book is so timely…with the leaders of churches using the Bible as a justification for their hatred. Luckily there are true believers who are opening their churches to everyone and promoting love instead of hate.
Novels that are ‘sad, uplifting, romantic, and scary’ fit so many of my reasons for reading. I’m looking forward to this series. May you have a wonderful time at GRL. Wish I could join you and just absorb the conversations and ideas.
Good luck everyone I the contest Ana thanks for the kind words!
Lol my bad autocorrects
I look forward to reading this book, thanks for sharing.
