Blurb/Synopsis:
To achieve happiness, they’ll have to find the courage to be their own men.
As first mate on a charter fishing boat, Billy Ray meets a lot of people, but not one of them has made him as uncomfortable as Skippy—because he’s drawn to Skippy as surely as the moon pulls the tides, and he’s almost as powerless to resist. Billy Ray has spent his life denying who he is to avoid the wrath of his religious father, and he can’t allow anyone to see through his carefully built façade.
Skippy is only in town on business and will have to return to Boston once he’s through. But he doesn’t count on Billy Ray capturing his attention and touching his heart. After all, his father has certain expectations, and one of them is not him staying in Florida.
Billy Ray doesn’t realize just how much he and Skippy have in common, though. They’re both living to please their fathers instead of following their own dreams—a fact that becomes painfully obvious when they get to know each other and realize how much joy they’ve denied themselves. While they can’t change the past, they can begin a future together and make up for lost time—as long as they’re willing to face the consequences of charting their own course.
Where Andrew talks about tips, tricks, and tools that help keep your life organized
Thank you so much for having me!!!!!
I am a creature of habit. I tend to structure my days so that I have time set aside to handle tasks I know I’m going to have to do on a regular basis. And I hate it when my routine gets interrupted.
I use a todo list to keep track of the things I need to get done each day. That allows me to prioritize tasks so I can make sure that the most important things are actually completed first. That way I’m not working on easy, small tasks to get them out of the way and letting the bigger more important things slide.
One more thing that I think is important. When I’m working on a manuscript, I don’t get bogged down in details. What I mean is that when I’m in the zone, I stay there. If there’s a name I don’t know, I insert a note and keep going. I can fill it in later, but I never interrupt the zone of I can help it.
I’m going to categorize this next item as a blessing. My husband is amazing and he helps me in so many ways that I can’t count them. I swear I couldn’t do what I do without him.
I hope everyone has an amazingly productive day!
Skippy got up and stood in the center, watching out the back as he inhaled deeply. On the first of these trips, he’d been surprised. He’d expected the water to smell sort of fishy, but it hadn’t. The air hung with moisture but smelled clean and, in its own way, fresh, unspoiled. One of these times he was going to charter a sailboat and spend time on the water without an engine—just water and wind.
“Be careful,” Bubba cautioned him, and Skippy stood with his legs apart, balancing with the moving boat. He nodded and continued his mini-Zen moment. “Are you really okay?”
“Yes.” Skippy turned to Bubba. “He saved me from taking a swim.” He stood behind Bubba’s chair, looking out at what he was seeing.
“I was raised on the water. My dad said I learned to swim before I could walk.” Bubba continually scanned the horizon and watched the instruments and GPS navigator. “This is what I really love to do.”
“We should all do what we love.” Skippy smiled and continued watching while listening to the guys as they broke into the food again. Bubba turned, presumably to check on Billy Ray, and Skippy followed his gaze, unable to look away as Billy Ray got all the hooks baited in preparation for their first stop. What Skippy noticed most was the slight hitch in Billy Ray’s steps. He didn’t move as easily as he had before, and it became clear that while Skippy hadn’t been hurt, Billy Ray might have pulled or bruised his right leg or foot.
Bubba turned back and opened up the engines even further, sending them flying over the water in an exhilarating display of speed that Skippy felt up his feet and legs and right into his balls, which drew close as excitement rose. He needed to get his dick under control and his thoughts on fishing and off the hot deckhand.
Eventually Bubba pulled to a stop, and they each took their place at the poles. Finally Skippy was able to get his mind on a task. That was, until Billy Ray stood near him to check on their lines and rebait his hook. Then the low-watt zing started once again, and he nearly hooked himself getting his line in the water.

Congrats on the newest book, Andrew. I need to catch up with this series.
In term of LGBTQ books, I like contemporary romance as much the suspense ones. Well, a combo of both is even better! 🙂
I like them both but really enjoy some suspense.
Congrats on the release… I’m all about the suspense
This sounds really poignant. I hope everyone buys a copy!
I love both genre…as long as they aren’t close to horror!
Congrats on the release. I too have to do lists to make my life flow easier. I like both genres but tend to enjoy suspense more.
I enjoy both genre and like them just as equally.
I have it in my TBR list. Congrats on the new release!
