There’s a high price to pay and no guarantee that the risks he must take will work out but Evrain is worth going through hell for, even if it costs Dominic his life.

REVIEW: Elemental Hope is book 2 in the Warlocks series and I can’t stress enough that you need to read Elemental Love, book 1, first for it to make any sense as this is a continuation of Dominic and Evrain’s story and picks up almost immediately where the first book finished. Evrain and Dominic are really likeable characters and this author always brings a bit more to her stories. The world building and much of the circumstance was all laid down in the first book and something this author excels at in my opinion is filling her stories with great secondary characters who really bring something special to the page.
As Evrain tries to settle into his new role as an all-powerful Warlock nothing is easy and everything that can go wrong seems to do so. His training with his godfather is difficult and stressful, his power appears to rarely be controlled, and the fact that most of the time using his power hurts his lover, physically, is causing him the biggest problem of all. Add all of this to the fact that a bunch of strange women seem to be stalking him and Dominic and you have a pretty big recipe for a disaster. Oh, and let’s not forget that Symeon Malus, a Warlock that has had a psychotic break of some sort, is also out to get Evrain and his powers – life is never dull but dull is what Dominic years and dreams of.
Symeon gets together with the stalkers who are a pretty powerful bunch of witches led by the top crazy witch who is power hungry and determined to take over the world and together they set out to steal Evrains blood. Dominic really comes into his own in this story as the new adventure means he has to rescue and save the most important thing in his life.
This was a perfect sequel and it was great to spend time with Evrain, Dominic and the crew once again. One last thing – watch out for that cat!
