Chase Rogan and Mason Finley fell in love as kids and had their happily-ever-after at eighteen…or so they thought. CHASE Over a decade after his estrangement from his ex, Chase returns to Finley Dairy to celebrate Mason’s sister’s engagement. But being back at the place where his fondest memories are—the place where he and Mason laughed, played, and loved—quickly ropes Chase back into those feelings all over again, reminding him of the flame he could never extinguish. MASON Despite his attempts at getting over Chase, Mason still can’t move on—not from the greatest love he’s ever known. When Chase comes back to the dairy, all those old feelings return, as powerful as ever. A wavering hope strengthens, making him believe that maybe…just maybe…they can find a way to put the past behind them and create a future together. But it isn’t easy, and every time he pushes, Chase pulls away. As much as Mason wants it to work, if it doesn’t, what’s he supposed to do? How can you move on when—even after all the years—you know in your heart, he’s still your guy?
REVIEW:
Devon McCormack did it again. His new solo book Still Your Guy is another masterpiece and a perfect gem for my taste. I love books that focus solely on a relationship, the connection between two guys, so I was in absolute book heaven while reading this story.I also enjoy stories that leave the usual linear plotline and give a little twist to the structure by jumping time regularly. I was totally absobed in this story and getting to know Mason and Chase, their shared past was a wonderful journey with heartwarming and heartbreaking details and the most carnal type of love imaginable. Past episodes are embedded into the present plotline that help us understand where our MCs are coming from, what they have been through together and what events have lead to their present situation. The writer’s skills are perfectly proven in the first few pages where he could create an atmosphere in such a short time establishing a truly powerful connection and amazing chemistry between Mason and Chase and also showing the underlying tension, the unspoken past. He makes us curious. Makes us want to know what had happened to these two guys. Reading this story will give you all the answers you need and also will make you believe in love in its purest, most wonderful form. The writing is flawless, the characters well developed and truly loveable and every detail has its own place to make this book memorable. Highly recommended.
