Book Blurb:
James failed.
He tried to be what they wanted.
He tried to deny it.
He tried to be a good Catholic boy…but it’s become too much.
He craves pain, submission.
He’s denied himself far too long, and it’s eating him alive.
Charles thrives off the exchange of power. He knows the world revolves around control. It’s given and taken like currency, in business and in pleasure. He won’t get attached, though, or so he tells himself, until James turns his world upside down. He’s defiant and snarky, but Charles can taste the submission on him.
Charles holds the key to his salvation but James has to Say Yes.

“I expect you to say yes.”
He looked up at Charles, smugness written all over him. “Yes…Sir.”
“You do realize you don’t have to pause between the two words.”
“Of course I don’t have to. But I like to make you wait for it.”
Charles grabbed his face, and a moment of fear shot through James. He was about to shout what the hell when Charles’ lips found his. “So feisty. I’m going to have to beat it out of you.”
“Before or after feeding me?” He couldn’t help himself, he loved pushing Charles’ buttons.
“I actually think I have a better idea.” Charles set aside the food they hadn’t eaten and stood.
James missed the warmth of his body, but he was itching with curiosity. “Oh?”
“You probably won’t like it.”
James’ gut twisted and his chest tightened. “I won’t?”
Charles shook his head, a smile playing on the corners of his mouth. “I will give you two choices. The easy choice or the hard one.” He held up a hand before James could speak. “But if you pick the hard one the reward will be greater.” His words made the ball of nervous excitement inside James grow.
“Okay.”
“First pick easy or hard.”
“Hard,” James said with a grin.
“Good. Now I want you to pick a number between one and one hundred.”
“What am I picking?”
“I will never tell you.” Charles brushed a hand down his shirt, smoothing out the wrinkles.
“I don’t like going into things blind.”
“And I love it. I can see the suspense dripping off you. I feed off it.”
“Twenty-three.” James was going for it. He picked a modest number, in case it was spankings.
“Good choice.” Charles looked at him like he was going to devour James, and being the nineteen year old he was, he was already hard and ready to go.
“Aren’t you going to tell me what it’s for?”
“Not yet. I love the suspense.” Charles reached out and gripped his dick. “I miss being this spry, but it makes it so much harder for you to not come until you have permission. We are going to train tonight.”
“Train, Sir?” James swallowed.
“Yes, grab your books and come to the bedroom.”
“Books?” James got to his feet and grabbed his backpack before following after Charles. What could he possible have in mind involving books?
When James walked into the bedroom, Charles had already stripped off his dress shirt and belt, leaving him barefoot in just slacks and an undershirt. If James hadn’t been hard already, he would be now.
“Why do I need my books?” he asked again.
“Since we are training for twenty-three minutes without coming, I figured you might as well get some studying in.”
His dick jumped. “I have to go twenty-three minutes without coming?”
When not staying up all night writing, J.R. Gray can be found at the gym where it’s half assumed he is a permanent resident to fulfill his self-inflicted masochism. A dominant and a pilot, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. He frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns and conversations, to jot down notes or plot bunnies. Commas are the bane of his existence even though it’s been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder. If Gray wasn’t writing…well, that’s not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave, insanity or both. The idea of haunting has always appealed to him. J.R. Gray is genderqueer and prefers he/him pronouns.

Congrats on your latest release, JR. I’m not much on kinky read so I don’t have much to offer… I’m thinking Jet Mykles’s Genesis as one unusual read for me.
Congrats on the new book. I love the Cuffs and Collars series by KC Wells and Parker Williams
This sounds like a wonderful addition to your body of work. Such a beautiful cover! I love the ‘Manchester Menage’ series by Nicole Colville…just a little D/S with lots of loving and romance.
