REVIEW:
I must say, first off, that this is a series to be read in order, so if you have not read Finding Finn you are going to be lost. If you have read book one, then yay! Because Christian gets his story and we find out what happened when he left. Christian held my heart in the first story and I’m so glad he gets his turn.
In the first story, Christian meets up with Finn again after Finn being gone and they quickly become friends. One night, Christian helps Finn escape the clutches of a nut job of a pack leader and ends up a target himself. He’s almost home when he is attacked. But thankfully he has someone to help him get free, Derrick. Christian confuses Derrick for a homeless man and accidentally stabs him when he gets too close. Trying to right the wrong he did, he helps Derrick back to his apartment to get him fixed up. Derrick immediately knows this is is mate and begins to do everything he can to get him to come home with him. Including some potent sex that ruins poor Christian for any other man.
Christian is another one of those characters I can not help but adore. He is so giving and does everything he can to make people feel at ease. He is the one person you wish you could always have as a friend because you know he will always be there for you. Derrick sees these traits in him and wants his help to make him a better person. Derrick is the growly, standoffish, soon to be alpha that no one can get close to because of the way he holds himself. Christian being who he is makes Derrick want to strive to be more like him. Derrick wants people to like him too. Using this as a means to get him home, Derrick finally gets Christian there. But sweet Christian can only handle so much hatred and people trying to get at him. So he leaves.
Derrick learns the hard way how much his mate truly means to him, but his pride almost causes him to miss out. Derrick has had to learn to compromise for his mate and for his pack and family. And Derrick’s wolf is howling at him to get to his mate to claim and protect Christian they way they are meant to. Christian has to learn it’s ok to trust his mate and to let himself be cared for. Both have had to let their pride go and it is a tough lesson to learn. As is for all of us.
I’m off now to read book 3. I hope you guys enjoy this series as much as I am! If you have read these then you know who Sorrell is and it’s his turn! Woohoo!
