Kyle Vaughn had three goals in life: become a vet, find the man of his dreams, and start a family. He easily checked off the first item on the list when he took over his grandfather’s veterinary practice. Too bad he wasn’t as lucky in love.
Chaz Hamilton took a leap of faith when he decided to pursue a career in writing, but one best seller didn’t mean he could quit his day job. All work and no play threatened to make Chaz a very dull man when the only romantic action he saw was in the pages of his manuscript. Too bad he couldn’t write his own happily ever after.
Circumstances pushed the two men together, and one magical kiss beneath fireworks and stars changed everything. Kyle knew his luck had finally turned around and Chaz found a man far better than any book boyfriend ever written. There was just one problem. Chaz has kept a secret from Kyle that could ruin their chance at a beautiful life together.
Kyle and Chaz learn that the best-laid plans often go awry, the heart has a mind of its own, and the greatest love is unscripted.
The books in the Road to Blissville series can be read either as standalone books or as part of the series. This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature adults 18 and older.
REVIEW:
Please note that this story can be read as a stand alone. However, much of the timeline overlaps with the Curl, Up and DYE series and as such, I personally feel you will get more out of this if you read that series first. So now for the review…..
Omg can I just tell you how much I have been dying for these two men to get together!!! Since they started showing signs of attraction in the Curl up and DYE series I have been begging for more about Chaz and Kyle!!! So when this little gem showed up, unannounced, in my inbox…oh momma did I do a major happy dance!
I LOVED the prologue. It was short but it hit me right where it needed to to make me stand up and scream that I needed more ASAP. I was actually a bit frustrated that I had to get through the WHOLE story before I could get to the good part!
I mean come on! I had already had the whole story, or so I though, in the previous series! But OK. So it was actually really good to see Kyle and Chaz’s version of events and the parts that were left out of the other series. So while yes, I was impatient, I truly enjoyed being annoyed this time! So it wasn’t a bad thing but OMG I WANTED TO SKIP TO THE END SO BAD. lol Can you tell I was invested in this outcome? Just a little?
Kyle and Chaz were so great together. The sexual tension was off the charts and I really liked how it was buffered with some personality flaws and a little bit of suspense. There was the classic miscommunication trope and a bit of insecurity thrown in there, but I never once felt like it was overdone or unnecessary. Did I want them to just talk and move forward? Hell yes I did. But I don’t think I would have appreciated the ending as much had their journey been easy or perfect.
And OMG can I just tell you how sappy happy this story made me! Kyle was SOOOOOO romantic and this story was just so full of moments that made my teeth ache so badly it actually made me tear up from the sweetness. I LOVED it and LOVED this book and the ending just made me swoon!
Now for the important question……When are we getting Emory’s story?
