REVIEW:
Wow. What an amazing story. I mostly read contemporary books so this awesome fantasy took me out of my comfort zone, and what a fun ride it was. I truly enjoyed it and was glued to my Kindle till the last page. Marshall Thornton is a new author for me but I’m glad I picked up this book. The writer has a confident, solid writing style, great humor and real, lifelike characters.
I find the basic concept of the plot very fascinating and entertaining. If you like the idea of time travel, this is a perfect read for you. I love the mind bending possibility of going back in time and this story brought back so many memories that I was having a blast. It might help that I am almost the same age as our MC, Terrance, and his adventure is a wonderful trip down memory lane. The story has a great flow. The events, the references, the overall atmosphere were very well written. The structure was well built and we got the chance to put together different pieces of Terrance’s life to get the overall picture. The pieces were added bit by bit and it all came together as a puzzle.
Self-discovery is a significant part of our existence. Sooner or later we have to face who we really are and accept it. Figuring out things about ourselves is never easy. It’s a thought provoking journey how we realize the truth about who we really are and how we appear in other people’s eyes . Another concept that is dissected here is the reason and mechanics of misunderstandings and what life altering effects they might have in our lives. All these elements are beautifully woven into a fun read here.
This is a great fantasy and the love story lingering in the background coming to life is one that I will remember for a long time. I am still pondering over the idea the book suggests and still toying with the possibilities of what can happen and how many blackouts I can remember in my own life…
I’d rather not spoil anything more so I just say open your mind and have fun reading Terrance and Sean’s story. Highly recommended!

This sounds intriguing, and I’m glad I read the email blurb from you guys before I saw the book’s cover; I would have passed it by if I’d seen it first. The cover art reminds me of a kid’s book and not a M/M story of any sort, TBH. I too am (*ahem*) close to the MC’s age, and it’s difficult to find “mature” characters in romance beyond the trope of May-December. Thanks for your review. I just may check this one out, despite the cover, lol. As they say, “you can’t judge a book by it’s cover”, but sadly it is a big factor in the romance genre.
I’ve read a few books from this author and enjoyed them all – another for the buy list!!
