June has been such a busy month! The kind of busy that has me longing for a margarita on chaise lounge at the beach. LOL. The birthdays, graduations and countless family gatherings jam-packed into a three week span were fun, but exhausting. Somehow in the middle of RL madness, I managed to squeeze in back-to-back releases. Yes, that’s right. Not one but two Lane Hayes books came out last week. A Way with Words and A Kind of Home. Woohoo!
A Way with Words is a short story (30k) I wrote for my dear friend, Felice Stevens’ Memories with the Breakfast Club launch for Kindle Worlds. This is Tony De Luca’s coming out story. Tony is a closeted construction worker from a close-knit large Italian family. He’s quiet and reserved and has a secret he’s kept his entire life. But the handsome guitarist playing on the street corner across from his jobsite turns him inside out and makes him dream of a life he never dared think was possible.
A Kind of Home is Book 4 in my A Kind of Stories series. This one belongs to Spiral’s lead guitarist, Isaac and his best friend from high school’s brother, Adam, my most recent personal book crush. LOL. This is a friends to lovers story involving unexpected attraction, a creepy stalker and an MC who knows his way around a kitchen. And let’s be honest, baking can be very sexy indeed. 😉
Both books were set in NYC, which of course has me itching to get back to my favorite city. I’m hoping to make that happen this summer…fingers crossed!. How about y’all (I was just in Savannah, Georgia. Can you tell?)? Any fun summer plans? You can tell me about it in the giveaway below.
