REVIEW:
This is a bite sized look into the lives of two of my favourite characters from an amazing series.
Fans of the series will be aware just how devastating it was for Rowe to lose his wife Mel and how his friends feared he would never recover. These shorts start with Rowe facing his first Christmas without her and what was perfect was how Noah quickly realised how difficult this was going to be and set about making new memories that were just for them but that never lost sight of the past. Noah is really grounded and sure of his place in Rowe’s life – there isn’t any jealousy, he just wants to make each milestone as painless as possible for the man he loves.
As well as tears we have a laughs and humour – we even had a collapsing bed! Although Rowe and Noah got their HEA in Torch these short stories felt like Rowe made the final steps in returning to the man he was before Mel died and he fell back into his rightful place within his group of friends. He never would have got there if it wasn’t for the love Noah shows him every day and in everything he does and that love really shines between the two men here.
This was a great addition to the series and it was good to back with the men who have stolen our hearts even if it was brief and emotional. 🙂
