Girl Crush is an erotic female romance novella that brings to light that one time…
The one time you found yourself questioning your so-called sexuality, potentially risking your friendship. What if the feelings aren’t reciprocated?
Confusion and pain brings them closer together, feeding from one another’s strengths and thrusting them into each other’s arms.
Are the risks of their new-found love worth the result?
This novella caters to adults over 18 as it does contain a high level of consensual MF (1 scene) and FF sexual encounters.
REVIEW:
Two of my favourite genres are lesbian fiction and erotic romance, dangle the promise of both under my nose, and you can bet I’m gonna pounce. So, as you can imagine, I was beyond excited to be offered the chance to read and review ‘Girl Crush.’ I was sold on the cover alone, and that is where I went wrong. The first thing I feel needs saying is ‘read the blurb closely,’ or more specifically the content warning.
Although there is only one MF scene, it’s in your face explicit, hardcore f*%king, complete with ass slapping. While I have no issue with such content in an MF book, I’m not sure it was necessary in what I’m guessing the author wants to promote as lesbian fiction??
Moving on. My biggest issue with this story was the two main characters, both women were shallow one dimensional witches. One commits the same sin she is upset about her husband committing, cheating. The other is relieved to know her husband would never cheat on her, and then she does just that. So again I feel the need to issue a content warning, a large amount of this story revolves around cheating.
To be blunt, I didn’t care one iota for either heroine therefore I didn’t care about their journey. In fact, I hoped they’d get their comeuppance.
My other issue with this story is the lack of editing, basic punctuation, and confusing sentences. Not to mention a couple that made absolutely no sense. For example – ’riding out my orgasm while her tongue sated my inner woman.’ What the heck is a woman’s inner woman?
As the story stands, I personally would not recommend it. With that said, it appears this author has many books out which readers have enjoyed so take this review for what it is, one persons opinion. I urge you to grab a copy and decide for yourself if this story is for you.
