Well known as a playboy, Griff Broderick, MotoGP world champion, didn’t realize a chance meeting in a club would lead to him looking at his life in a whole new way. What was more surprising to him, the person who changed his life was a man!
Twelve hours after the greatest night of his life, a knock on his door threatens to take that life away from him. Choosing to take the chance, Griff ignores the offers of help from the one person who knew the truth: Corrie Deschamps. Losing his job, Griff has time to ponder his errors and mistakes. He knows, the biggest one was losing Corrie.
Corrie Deschamps, injured army veteran, knows the night with Griff Broderick was only a one night thing but the stubborn man’s refusal to accept his help has Corrie frustrated. Was Griff really so ashamed to admit he was with a man? But then Corrie stumbles into a life he never expected, with a man he thought he’d never see again: his brother, Raff McMahon. He tries to forget the one night he spent with Griff Broderick, the greatest night of his life.
Another meeting, at De’ath of You Enterprise headquarters, brings them together again. Corrie’s reaction is not one Griff, or the owners of De’ath of You, expected. Refusing to have anything to do with him, Corrie storms off.
Griff knows how hard he is going to have to work to prove himself to Corrie, to get his forgiveness for rejecting him and his help. How can he prove Corrie is the man for him? That he will never want another person, male or female.
Corrie doesn’t trust Griff, never believing the gay-for-you premise, but he wants him. Corrie’s body yearns for him. Can he get over his fears and accept him into his life, and into his heart?
Will Griff be prepared to be seen with another man? Will he accept his sexuality? What happens when he gets bored and wants to return to the race track and MotoGP? Is there a place for Corrie in that lifestyle?
It’s time for them to man up and claim the love and life they want.
This is a gay love story and involves hot, steamy sex between two men and is therefore recommended for readers over the age of eighteen.
REVIEW:
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this newest book by JJ Harper and she exceeded my expectations!!!
Corrie Deschamps is Rafferty McMahon’s little brother. He is an amputee who gave the ultimate sacrifice, loosing his leg in battle to protect his fellow soldiers. The gorgeous man is now working at De’ath of You Enterprise as a model for Nico and Troy’s new clothes line. He is also studying hard to be able to work with other amputees at the gym. Griff Broderick is the MotoGP world champion. But he didn’t get very long to celebrate his newest title after a Pit Bunny accuses him of something he didn’t do. He even has an alibi but won’t use Corrie to save himself. He knows that Corrie has suffered so much in his short life and he is not about to cause more trauma. When the two men are suddenly thrust together as the two models for the the new De’ath of You line sparks fly, but are they the good kind of sparks? How does an injured army hero and a renown womanizer/world champion motorcycle racer work through all the confusion of their attraction to each other and try taking a risk at a whole new kind of life?
I really, really like these group of books! From the “Reunion” series that start it all with Nico and Ryan to the “Troy Duology “series that introduced us to Troy and Raff…I have just wanted more!!! When I read Troy and Raff’s love story I was totally entranced with them and was worried about the intrusion of Raff’s little brother. What I found was that I fell in love with this heroic war veteran and wanted to kick his older brother’s behind across the county! I get that Raff feels he needs to watch out for his little brother, that’s how it’s suppose to be. But there is a difference between looking out and being a jerk. I wouldn’t have wanted to be Raff when Nico took him home. I am pretty sure there were so pretty harsh words spoken when they got back home and deservedly so. It was so nice to get to have glimpses of all my favorite characters.
I highly recommend that you read each of these series so you understand the dynamics of these “De’ath of You boys”. I am quite sure that you will fall in love with these men just as much as I have. These “brothers” and their husbands are so endearing that you can’t put their stories down. Another fabulous book by the gifted author JJ Harper! A must-read!!!!
