REVIEW:
So, this one was messed up!
Even by Kol’s standards this was violent and leads the reader on a bit of a mind fuck.
Madoc is the innocent in this story until he crosses Leo’s path then any innocence, in fact all innocence, is torn away from him in the most disturbing way. The story takes place in Space and there are aliens who as a race have been treated badly in the past and who have a pretty sick way of seeking a kind of revenge. It seems that Madoc is a personal kind of revenge for them this time but it is all mixed up with Leo who doesn’t seem sure of which side he is on.
I’m still confused at the end of this one! Nothing is as it seems and I’m still not overly clear on who was right and who was wrong. The only clear thing is that poor Madoc got messed up and seemingly it was because of something that happened that he had no control over. And what of Leo? Where did he come from and where was he going?
Oh Kol, how you love to confuse and horrify us!
