REVIEW:

As you all know, I am a huge fan of Declan and Sam! Let me tell you author Isobel Starling kept me on pins and needles with this newest addition to their adventures.

Sam is home recovering from his massive injuries at the hands of rogue former A. A. L. agent Erik Madsson. Sir James Aiken, Sam’s father and their boss, has left them alone to make sure his son full recovers, which will be a daunting task. Declan is so worried about his fiancé, both body and mind. Night terrors from his near death experience have been ravishing Sam, so both men are getting little sleep. And Sam’s broken body has made their love life practically impossible. But Declan is determined to get his man back where he was, whole and healthy. He also has a promise to fulfill regarding Sir James’ blatant and reckless disregard of Sam’s life.

I have to say, the author made me very nervous with the meet-up of Sam with Kai! I won’t give away any secrets but I was literally ready to throw my iPad at one point! Sam and Declan are made to be with each other, have endured so much to be a couple, and no one should ever get between these two…EVER!

One of my most favorite scenes was when Declan and Sir James finally have it out over Sir James playing too loose with Sam’s life. There may have been some shouts and cheers heard in my home during that particular scene.

All in all, with the many twists and turns that you expect from this author, you’ll be churning with fear at one moment and pleasantly surprised the next. Another great chapter in the lives of Declan and Sam. I can’t wait for the next! A must-read!!!
