A clash of wills between predators…
He’s been living underground for a long time, but the only thing guaranteed to bring Daniel Nieto back to the surface is the identity of his wife’s killer. With the whisper of one name, he puts it all on the line for vengeance. He’s got plans for Stavros Konstantinou.
The title of monster fits too well for Stavros to want to be anything other than what he is. Time spent in Daniel Nieto’s dungeon, chained and tortured, will never change that. Starved of food, sunlight and freedom, he waits for an opening to turn the tables on the only man who’s ever come close enough to scare him.
Somewhere between the slide of knife against skin, and the drip of blood on cold concrete, things change. Grief and hatred collide with lust and obsession, and this time Daniel and Stavros are on the same side. This time, they’re fighting a losing battle against a connection forged by much more than a love of violence and bloodshed.
In a war this bloodied, what do you do when the bodies start hitting the floor?

REVIEW:
This book was MAGIC. The most twisted, beautiful, and F’d up magic you could possibly ever imagine but it was magic nonetheless. How Avril Ashton got me to fall in love with Stavros and Daniel Nieto, I’ll never know. But I did. I fell hard for these two damaged souls. Daniel and Stavros were imperfectly, perfect for each other and their connection made no sense but it was also clear as day. They’ve been tied together due to horrible events and no matter how tenuous their foundation was, it was real and remarkable. The writing as usual was outstanding and showcased all the reasons why I love Avril Ashton. This author can do no wrong…the characters she writes are so flawed and real and magnificent. Loved this story…so very much worth the wait….
Daniel Nieto has lived for one thing and that is to revenge on the people and more specifically the man who killed his wife right in front of him. He’s spent a lot of time planning, plotting and hunting and he’s finally got the man responsible. Bound, tortured and held captive Stavros is far from being scared and Daniel is starting to get affected by the man’s presence.
What starts are pure, hate filled revenge turns into an all consuming passion both men aren’t prepared for. Trying to keep their distance from each other is pointless. Daniel and Stavros are like magnets and when they come together again and again their chemistry and connection is through the roof.
I honestly wasn’t prepared for how amazing these two were together. I knew going into this that Avril doesn’t pull her punches when it comes to her characters and the deeds they do. This story is bloody, naughty, dirty, and gory but like I’ve said before…it’s beautiful too. Daniel and Stavros love with everything they are. Both men put everything into being together, staying together and surviving.
This book is everything. Its perfection and then some. Daniel and Stavros killed me…and I loved every minute of it.
RECOMMEND.
