REVIEW:
I loved this holiday short. I know we are past Christmas now but sometimes you just need a good little holiday book to get you through the day and this was one for me.
I loved the main characters in this book. Jack Frost was a grumpy, cantankerous, non-filtered sprite you just hated to love. Rudolph, known as Rudy, was such a sweet, innocent-seeming reindeer shifter, who desperately wanted a friend. When Rudy mes up with Jack in a bar, Jack tried so hard to not let him in, but sweet Rudy shattered Jack’s seemingly cold heart. Rudy was so tired of being made fun of and ridiculed and Jack was tired of being hated for who he was. He couldn’t help the fact that he brought winter to the world. These men struck up a friendship that left them both less lonely and fills a void.
I loved how soft Jack was with Rudy. He became so protective and showed Rudy how gooey he really was inside and Rudy couldn’t help but want more of Jack.
The sex scenes in this book were what stood out to me the most. This was one sexy, sexy book. Rudy being part fire giant was hot blooded and Jack being part ice giant was cold blooded and when they got together they melted the furniture! Literally!
Their union also set the world on its axis as hot and cold set out to destroy the world. With Jack being of the ice kingdom and Rudy being of the fire kingdom, they are opposites. As opposites, their union makes the world flash back and forth between hot and cold causing destruction. Jack refused to give up Rudy to make the world better so they went to find another way to save the world and stay together.
But what made the sex scenes so amazing, was not just how erotic they were, (and they REALLY were), but they were also very intimate because Jack just melted for Rudy. He was so loving and attentive and did everything to make sure Rudy was cared for, both in and out of bed. Knowing how cold-hearted Jack was with everyone else, it was so wonderful to see how he behaved towards Rudy.
And Rudy was just so special. He was a character you loved so much and wanted to protect because he was so sweet and you never wanted him hurt. Jack was so loving he wrote a new song for Rudy, to replace the one where Rudy was made fun of. That’s how special Rudy was to Jack.
This is one book I definitely recommend. Even though it is a holiday book, it’s still one you want to curl up with at any time. I can’t wait to see what happen with these two next because their relationship becomes so amazing.
