I forgot that it was the 16th and that my blog post was due. This is kind of the story of my life. Things always take me by surprise. It’s actually a strategy that works at least half the time. Like I’ll go away on a holiday and because I have done no research on what to see or do in a place, everything is new and exciting. The same as when I walk into work and I don’t know who I’m going to be working with that day because I didn’t check the roster. It’s like a lucky dip of work colleagues!
But occasionally (like today for example) it’s a not-good surprise, because even though I have been crazy busy with writing lately, my mind is suddenly a total blank when it comes to talking about that writing.
So here’s what’s going to happen today! We’re going to flip it around and you awesome people can do the work!
How about a giveaway?
Leave a comment and tell me a little of what you’re thinking about today, or how you stay organised, or, heck, just your favourite colour, and you can go in the draw to win your choice of an ebook from my back catalogue!
I’ll draw this on the 23rd of May, using my tried and tested write-the-names-in-a-hat-and-have-my-nephew-draw-one-out. If my nephew is unavailable I will ask one of the chickens to assist.
Let’s do this!
I’m thinking about how nice it is to sit with my front door open enjoying the sunshine and am glad it’s finally starting to warm up!
Nice! It’s just starting to cool down here!
I’m thinking about how I’d love to be at home reading! 🙂 And staying organized, I try to write things down in my planner, yes I still have the paper planner – it definitely helps me!
I haven’t written a thing in my planner since February! I still buy one every year though. 🙂
Ha stay organized just doesn’t seem to work for me. I can write things down, I can mark my calendar, and still seem to get in trouble or forget things. I make a list and go grocery shopping and forget my list. but hey at least I have fun…lol
Ha! I left my shopping list at home today when I went to buy groceries. Forgot the milk. Bought chocolate instead. I can live with that!
#KindredSpirit I don’t stay organized. It’s impossible. Sadly, I’m not half as successful as you are because it only works about 10% of the time. A wonderful giveaway is a great way to turn it around. (Exclude me, I have all your books!).
I’m glad I’m not the only one!
I used to be super organized, but have have fallen down on the job in the last few years. Wish I was home today reading instead of at work lol0
Staying at home reading is always preferable to working!
Well I like to think I’m organized but I just have little piles of organized messes throughout my room. Today i was wishing so hard I had time to read at work.
I spend every meal break at work reading… And then I eat at my desk. #priorities
As I can hardly breath through my nose right now due to allergies, I’m thinking about pollen. 🙂 I’m hardly one to give great advice about organization, so I’ll skip that part.
Oh no! I hope the your allergies settle down soon and you feel better.
I’m trying to work my way around the new member of my household…I brought a dog from the local shelter last friday, and I’m trying to help her to settle in her new house. It is not being easy though. It requires a lot of dog walking and pee cleaning… but I’m sure it is worth it! 😉
That is wonderful! I’m so happy for you! I have a new puppy arriving next week, so so I’mll be up to my elbows in puppy pee and messes too!
To stay organized I write little notes here and there. The funny thing is, as soon as I’ve written it down I’ll usually remember the info w/o checking the note again. And to be honest, I just write something down and don’t check back anyway. I’ll probably find the note again months later wondering what it was about^^;;
Recently I discovered the calender in my smart phone *coughs* I try to use it…
Right now I’m waiting for my working day to end. I have an appointment with my dentist later today and I can’t wait for it to be over.
The problem with the smart phone calendar is you still need to remember to put stuff in there! I hope that your dentist appointment went well, and wasn’t too costly or too painful.
Thanks, the appointment went well 🙂
Yeah, I know that it would be possible to organize my stuff cleaner and more efficiently using electronical devices, that’s why I try again and again (maybe I’ll succeed completely one day). but I’m kind of old school and sticky notes make me feel better.
I’m thinking I really should get the dishes done as they won’t wash themselves.
I’d leave them another 24 hours, just to be sure! 😀
Unfortunately I did that yesterday and it didn’t work, they were still waiting for me today. 😕
I have to have everything written in a diary – if its not written down it either didnt happen or wont happen!!!
I’m taking 5 mins for a cuppa between finishing work and school pick up – and the rain has stopped and sun is just about out again! Woohoo!
I’ve got some baking to do for a bake-off contest tomorrow, so I’m thinking about brownies…
I just came in from weeding one flower bed and spreading soil for a new one! Since I’m in Texas you have to get out early in the day so you don’t die from the heat and humidity. It’s already in the 90’s here. I really miss Colorado, the upper West Coast and Canada! To say nothing of Bar Harbor in September.
Anyway I stay somewhat organized through an online calendar and lots of lists, sticky notes and reminders from family members.
I’d like to follow the whole feng shui idea so one of these days I’m going to find that book someone gave me about organizing my house… I know I put it somewhere…
Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
Ugh! I’m a week late drawing this. (Please refer to the title of the post!) Congrats, felinewyvern! I’m hopefully messaged you in the right place, but if not, hit me up on FB or email me and I’ll make sure I get your book to you!
