Welcome Annika & Joanna 🙂
Our top three fave Kit moments from Enemies Like You
Hi, Annika and Joanna here! Thanks for having us over today – we’re celebrating the release of Enemies Like You today (wheeee!) by looking back at some of our favourite Kit snarkiness AND giving away a copy of the book to one lucky commenter 😊
Confession: we had tons of evil fun with Kit in this book. He’s British and domineering with a dry, sometimes biting sense of humor humour. So of course we had to make a list.
The awkward shower masturbation intrusion
In this scene, Will is super unhappy about not completing his mission to kill Polzin. (Instead of killing the man, he gave Polzin’s bodyguard Kit a super hot blowjob. UH hate when that happens)! Anyway, he’s back alone in the hotel room. He decides to relieve tension with a shower.
The stiffness in my shoulders eases but doesn’t disappear—instead it moves south, taking possession of my dick. I wrap my paw around it and start rubbing one off, long, slow, firm strokes, up and down, tipping my head back to let the water soak my upturned face.
And then a voice says, “Well, isn’t this awkward?”
And later:
“Please,” Kit says in his fancy English accent. “Don’t stop on my account.”
“Never been much of an exhibitionist,” I say. Yet I don’t let go.
The silence stretches. The heat in the room rises. Builds.
“You should finish,” he says finally.
(Because he plans to kill him. But don’t worry, Will survives…and then some!)
The puppy exchange
Later, Will and Kit have a heated exchange about Polzin, the nasty billionaire Kit mysteriously protects.
“Polzin’s a fucking psychopath,” I bite out. “And you’re his attack dog. So what does that make you, Kit?”
His eyes glitter dangerously. “A very well paid puppy.”
I need to get away from his orbit, but instead I draw closer—loathing him—loathing everything. “You disgust me.”
“But you still want me to fuck you, don’t you?”
Yes! You know he totally does!
The ham exchange
In this scene, Will has Kit totally tied up and helpless, and Kit still has his whole haughty and domineering attitude that I so love.
I scowl. “You know what your trouble is? You don’t know when to stop pushing.”
Kit laughs. “Oh, stop flirting and just suck my cock. You know you want to.”
He’s right, but what I want to do and what I will do are two different things. “What I know, Kit—” I say his name in the most condescending way I can. “—is that I got you all tied up like a Christmas ham and you still think you’re running the show.”
“Oh, Will, a Christmas ham?” This like I’ve disappointed him. Wounded him. “A Christmas ham?”
BLURB:
They’re dangerous men. Absolute enemies. And totally hot for each other. Will has never met anyone like Kit. He’s arrogant. Gorgeous. Lethal. The most expensive bodyguard money can buy. And Will can’t seem to resist him. A simple command in Kit’s cut-glass accent makes Will want things he’s never wanted, do things he’s never done. Their red-hot chemistry is off the charts. Just one problem: Will has vowed to kill the billionaire that Kit is hell-bent on protecting. And Kit has secrets, too—his own reasons for sacrificing his soul, piece by painful piece, to keep one of the worst men on earth alive. This is a stand-alone contemporary M/M romance.

Joanna Chambers always wanted to write. In between studying, finding a proper grown up job, getting married and having kids, she spent many hours staring at blank sheets of paper and chewing pens. That changed when she rediscovered her love of romance and found her muse. Joanna’s muse likes red wine, coffee and won’t let Joanna clean the house or watch television.
