Thank you Dee for asking us another question 🙂
dee: I think you answered this in part in other posts, but maybe you could elaborate?
Concerning guest posters (not blog tours), do you approach the authors or do the authors approach you? How about the topics? Are the authors free in choosing them or do you ask them to write about a certain topic?
Dani:
Well that would be me who does this 🙂
We are approached by authors just as by blog tour organizers. I will reply to their request and we will set a date.
I am pretty easy and the authors are allowed to do what they like as long as it is exclusive content for Love Bytes.
What is it that you would like to see in authors posts?

Thank you for the question and the answer.
What I would like in an author’s post: exclusive excerpt; information on certain aspects of the book, like research or character casting; interview with the author (I love to read about personal funny things); WIP’s.
I like reading about the backstory of characters especially the parts that’s might not make it into the book but that the author knows about. Also, what the author is currently working on or has planned in the near future.
I like to see excerpts, the thought processes that go in to characters, as well as the author’s thought processes that go into how they came up with the story line. I also like to hear some personal thoughts, funny stories, etc. that give me a look into an author’s life.
I would love to know about their future projects, and teasers about what is to come and characters from past books. 😉
Thanks for the post as always. I like when authors talk about the story’s background, if the subject they are writing about is related in some way to their daily life or an experience they had.
Informative answer. Generally, I like info on a book (not as much about the author’s life), whether it be the process of creating it, background on the characters or plot, and especially any kind of research they did to make it authentic. Along the way, I learn about the author, too.
I am always interested in the process of writing the book…their research, how they choose their characters, what is involved in their publishing journey. I enjoy hearing about their hobbies and armchair traveling through their pictures and descriptions of the places they visit. Thanks for another great set of answers.
I love hearing about how they get the idea for the characters and the plot. Whether it’s something they’ve read, heard or a person(s) they’ve known. It’s especially interesting if it ties into current events.
I’d love to hear more about specific inspirations for series and characters!
I enjoy seeing character interviews and the creation of the characters.
I woud like to see some info on the main characters, excerpts of the book. maybe some background info on the author, how they came up with the idea of the story/characters etc.
I enjoy learning about author processes, character interviews, getting-to-know-you things about the authors, author reading recommendations.
Thanks for answering my question 🙂
I’d like to see more about character development. Maybe a short story here and there to introduce or re-introduce certain characters. I’m also interested in research options for a book (books, places, own experience, and so on).
I love to see trivia and what happens behind the scene when writing the book
I enjoy character interviews a lot. I like a good author interview too. I guess if it’s an author I enjoy or a book I’m looking forward to, anything works to keep my interest.
