Will Jacko find love among the sunflowers?
After losing his family’s station in Australia to the bank, Jacko Hennesy moves in with his best mate, Lochie McBride. Trouble is, Lochie already has a roommate—his new lover, Jamie. Trying to settle into everyday life with two men isn’t as easy as Jacko had hoped. Although he’s been in love with his best friend for years, Jacko also finds himself attracted to Jamie. Watching the constant flirting and touching every day is enough to reduce the tough bushman to a puddle of need. What’s a bloke to do when he falls for two sexy men?
Publisher’s Note: This book is a sequal to Harvest Heat and is best read in sequence. This book has previously been released elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
REVIEW:
I enjoyed this story, but I felt like it tried to do too much for the word count. I immediately connected with Lochie and Jamie because I was already invested in their journey from book 1. I knew their love wasn’t complete and needed to know more. I also quickly fell in love with Jacko because his emotions were out for all to see. I felt for him and was so excited when all the men got together and completed their threesome. It was very well done emotionally.
However, I felt like everything was just barely touched upon and the story needed a lot more depth to have been done right. Jamie and Lochie discover they want a third and have insecurities. Fine, but one short conversation later and they are in perfect sync and BAM, let’s do this! Then they initiate things with Jacko and after one short conversation, BAM, let’s do this. Jamie has issues with how Jacko and Lochie treat him, emotions run amok, one conversation and BAM, we know exactly how to change to treat jamie right. These were all HUGE things that were just glossed over.
And my biggest issue was that I was left hanging on several topics that I really needed to have resolved. Like Zeb and Brian. WHY DID BRIAN DO WHAT HE DID? No clue. WHO IS ZEB AND WHY IS HE TRAINED IN GUNS AND MEDICAL SERVICES? No idea. Is there a third book in this series? Because right now I am feeling like things just ended and there is more to come, but I don’t know where this more is and I don’t like ending things with unresolved issues.
I think this book, like book 1 had GREAT POTENTIAL and had characters I loved. The romance was highly sexual yet it still left me feeling warm and fuzzy. But this series has left me hanging and that is disappointing.
