REVIEW:
The idea for Broken Trust was a good one. It takes a couple of situations some readers may find uncomfortable, mixes it up with a couple of very hot scenes but in my opinion there was too much story for the short length of the book and the execution fell flat.
I like my books to reflect real life which is why I have never had a problem with MC’s cheating. Dan and Brad are celebrating their one year anniversary in New Orleans and it’s quickly obvious that all is not working well in their relationship. This is one of those simple problems where communication is the issue – but neither do, which leads to Brad returning to the hotel room alone and Dan having a quick and hot encounter with Paul.
Dan is honest with Brad immediately but isn’t so honest with himself. He is clearly in love with Brad but he is definitely not getting everything he needs from their relationship. Dan loved Paul’s dominance and wants nothing more than a repeat performance where he can fully submit. That is not something he could ever ask of expect from Brad.
It all works out for the three men eventually when Paul visits Dan and Brad at home but it was just too easy. They could each provide what one or the other needed but I wanted to see them work through it instead of just hugging it out and everything suddenly being resolved. The sex scenes however were very hot – the author did a great job making three men get down and dirty.
