Someone’s killing werewolves.
Lukas Vance finds a list of towns, and in each one he discovers a murdered 19-year-old who smells almost like pack even though he knows they can’t be related to him. He reaches the next town on the list before the killer, determined to get the intended victim out of this situation alive. When he catches the familiar pack scent and sees the guy it belongs to, Lukas wants to do so much more than protect him.
Chris Keenan doesn’t know why gorgeous, broody Lukas thinks he’s in danger. Lukas says he wants to keep him safe, and when Chris freaks out Lukas is the only one able to calm him down. Chris has been feeling off for a while, and whatever’s causing that seems to be related to the list of towns and the murderer who’s made him a target. Instead of going to the police, Chris puts his trust in Lukas. But even with Lukas protecting him, figuring out what’s wrong with him may be the last thing Chris ever does.
REVIEW:
Ok….well this was…interesting, good interesting. The author classifies this story as a romance…I wouldn’t. There are romantic elements but they are few and far between. The connection between the two main characters is obvious and intense but it comes in second to the murder/mystery plot. This whole story basically centers on the mysterious murders of assumed random strangers. I liked the mystery. How this author was able to make this story more about random murders, low steam and romance and still keep my interest, I couldn’t tell you. But she did. This book is good. There are a lot of things going on, however so I had to purposely make sure I was taking it all in so I wouldn’t get confused later.
Chris Keenan is your typical college student until he meets Logan Vance. Logan is mysterious, older but Chris can’t deny there’s something about Logan that makes him feel safe. Strange things start happening to Chris’s body and Logan seems to be the only one that makes him feel better.
Logan knows he has to save Chris from whatever is out there killing random people but he’s not prepared for the instinctual pull he feels towards Chris.
With the help from his older brother Griffin, Logan takes Chris with him to try and save the other people on the list.
Like I mentioned this book is convoluted with a ton of different people, situations, and elements that are introduced. This book really had me guessing so I don’t want to give too much of the plot away.
This is my first book by this author and like I mentioned, I’m intrigued by this story. It did drag at a few different spots and like I mentioned there are a ton of things going on but I liked it.
I’m definitely interested in the next book and curious to see where the author takes the Hunter’s Rock characters.
Recommend.
