REVIEW:
Clint is a man seriously in need of some good luck. His day has been one disaster after another and just when it looks like he might be making the biggest mistake, his knight in shining armour shows up.
Hawk is a man with a plan. He’s got Clint in his sights and he’s bound and determined to show him that there’s definitely rewards to letting your heart love again.
I couldn’t help but empathise with Clint. I’ve had days that feel like nothing good is ever going to happen and the author does a great job of painting us a graphic picture of his troubles. Hawk is a bit of a mystery but his loyalty and drive to a mutually happy end game make him easy to swoon over and smile at.
I liked the story, the romance is sweet and the sex is so hot. I really wanted these guys to work in the end and they did.
My only complaint is that it was too rushed for me. I’m not a big fan of instalove, although the author does make a good go of it. I would have liked to have seen a little more wooing going on…and a little more angst.
But if you are a Cardeno C fan, this will leave you smiling as I find this author definitely has a distinctive voice in their writing and its one a appreciate a lot.
There’s not much else I can say about this story without giving it all away, but I can guarantee that while I could have read a lot more about these two men, I truly did appreciate the wonderful story we got.
