Hello, everyone! I’m C.S. Poe, back for my monthly post here at Love Bytes. We’re going to take a short interlude from my choose your own adventure free read, The Murder Collection, and talk about sleuths and ginger detectives.
What?
That’s right. Have you heard me singing from the rooftops about the second book in the Snow & Winter series? The Mystery of the Curiosities released last week, and continues the tale of murder in New York City. Our hero, Sebastian Snow, is back and in a mess of trouble, dragging his reluctant boyfriend, NYPD homicide detective, Calvin Winter, with him. There’s dead bodies! Gunfights! Sex! P.T. Barnum! You know, it’s an average love story.
For folks who followed along during the blog tour, I had a special coda available to read. It takes place at New Year’s between Book One and Two, and shows how Sebastian and Calvin become an official couple. If you’d like to read that in full, you can check it out on my website here.
So what do you think? Have you read Curiosities? No, but it’s in your TBR? Is this the first time you’ve heard about the sarcastic, colorblind sleuth Sebastian, and you want to check it out? Then you’re in luck! I’m giving away an e-copy of The Mystery of Nevermore (Snow & Winter Book One) to one random winner. And hey, just in time too, since Nevermore is coming out to audio in a few weeks, narrated by the extremely talented Derrick McClain!
I’ll see you guys next month with The Murder Collection Pt. 3. Be sure to check out Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 while you’re here. Thank you!
C.S.

The Mystery of the Curiosities (Snow & Winter Book Two)
Life has been pretty great for Sebastian Snow. The Emporium is thriving and his relationship with NYPD homicide detective, Calvin Winter, is everything he’s ever wanted. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Sebastian’s only cause for concern is whether Calvin should be taken on a romantic date. It’s only when an unknown assailant smashes the Emporium’s window and leaves a peculiar note behind, that all plans get pushed aside in favor of another mystery.
Sebastian is quickly swept up in a series of grisly yet seemingly unrelated murders. The only connection tying the deaths together are curiosities from the lost museum of P.T. Barnum. Despite Calvin’s attempts to keep Sebastian out of the investigation, someone is forcing his hand, and it becomes apparent that the entire charade exists for Sebastian to solve. With each clue that’ll bring him closer to the killer, he’s led deeper into Calvin’s official cases.
It’s more than just Sebastian’s livelihood and relationship on the line—it’s his very life.

This is a great series, I hope it will go on for a long time. There are not enough of these types stories in the mm genre.Mystery and sarcasm rule !
The fine art of sarcasm is my favorite! I plan on providing mystery and sass for many years to come.
I just won a copy of The Mystery of Nevermore, so I’m excited to get started on the series.
Wonderful! Happy reading!
I can’t wait to read this. I loved the first book of the series and am adding the new to my TBR list.
Thank you very much! I hope Book Two is a fun read for you.
I’m looking forward to finding out how Sebastian and Calvin are doing.. they are a really charming couple!
I love mysteries with snark! Especially when there is humor and a relationship based on love and romance. I’ve had this on my leaning ‘TBR’ tower while I’m plowing through the ARC’s I request and the instafreebies I select. There are so few hours in the day!
