REVIEW:

In the Doghouse is my first book by Chris Quinton and I’m sure it isn’t the last. I fell in love with the writing style right away and I can’t wait to check out more books by this author. This book is the perfect example of how to write a light, fun short story people will enjoy.

First ingredient is a lovable MC. I was hooked on the first page when I got myself into the middle of the actions. Jerry is a freakin riot and the humor that is woven into the storyline makes it a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Second ingredient is the history Jerry and Mike share. Their past gives a solid base to the story and makes their connection real and believable. Third ingredient is the chemistry Mike and Jerry have. I enjoyed all the little details that make this story so much fun from Jerry’s dog to his family’s involvement in dog races, from their first kiss to Jerry’s memories, from the hot sexy-time to Mike’s grumpiness.

This short story got its rightful place on my reread list. Highly recommended.
