BLURB:
A murdered prostitute. An obvious suspect. Clear evidence. For once, Jericho Crewe has a straightforward crime to investigate, and Wade Granger isn’t involved.
It all seems so simple, but Jericho’s instincts won’t let him rest. As he investigates, he finds troubling suggestions that the murder is a part of something larger and more sinister. But working within the boundaries of the law may keep him from finding the truth. If Jericho doesn’t break the rules, an innocent man may rot in jail while a killer remains free to strike again.
Inevitably, it all comes back to Wade. Because who else knows as much about breaking rules? And who else knows Jericho the way Wade does—not wisely, but far, far too well?
REVIEW:
Oh man, I don’t know how this author does it. I really do not know how she does it. I am without a doubt a fan of this series. I love Jericho and Wade so much. Them together makes me stupid happy. Its torture and amazing all at the same time whenever they are on page together. What boggles my mind is the fact that this author puts very minimal detail about the physical relationship between Jericho and Wade on page and I’m completely ok with it. Ok, maybe that’s a stretch. I want on page sex and I want it badly but without it, I’m still very much in love with this series. There’s just so much feels in book 3 between Wade and Jericho…it gave me the stupid, goofy grin…I’m proud to admit.
Darkness picks up shortly after book 2. It seems the small town of Mosley; Montana attacks a lot of illegal activity. Under-Sheriff Jericho Crewe finds himself in knee deep in a murder investigation. All signs point to one man but Jericho’s instincts are screaming at him that something is not right.
All of the other problems are still running rampant throughout the town and where there is illegal activity, Wade Granger isn’t far behind. In this book, Jericho fights his attraction to Wade less and less. Both men are giving more and more but they still are on opposite sides of the law and navigating that is still a huge problem.
Again, I love where this series is going and I’m looking forward to book 4. I can’t wait to see how all this ends.
I definitely recommend the series! These are suspenseful, exciting stories that most will enjoy.
