This was a short, kinky story of a man’s lingerie fetish and on-line Dom/sub relationship.
Matthew Fisher was a very successful and talented ballet dancer whose career was suddenly and tragically cut short but a debilitating ACL injury to his knee…a dancer’s worst fear. And, even if surgery to attempt to repair the damage would work, he can’t begin to afford it. So he takes a job with Aiken Luxury Lettings, as a real estate agent, after his sister got him the connection because of her friendship with Sir James’ daughter Annabelle. At least he doesn’t have to take a job sitting behind a desk forty hours a week, that would have killed him! So he goes about looking after the glorious properties of the rich clientele. It also allows the perfect backdrop for indulging in his kinky fetish, photographing himself as Silken, his on-line persona, for his Tumblr followers, in the luxurious properties. He also has an on-line Dom, Austin, a man he has never met or even seen his face. Life takes a very rapid turn when Silken is noticed on a surveillance camera by the owner and things get real interesting very fast. Silken is the story of what happens next to the ex dancer.
I think I connected more with Jack/Austin than Matthew/Silken, which is unusual for me. I find male dancers very sexy and enjoy watching them in dance, however I just didn’t connect with him as much as usual. Jack, on the other hand, had me from the beginning. The man is gorgeous, successful, has fabulous taste in buying lingerie, and cares about his partner. Yes he truly blew it on their first meeting but I believe that he realized his error immediately and was very regretful for his rash behavior.
I think, for my part, I just didn’t connect with the Silken character as much as I do with most of the author’s characters in the past, which surprised me. Maybe it was because it was an extremely fast read that I didn’t have the connection. This author is know for her sex scenes and she definitely did not falter in that regard. They had amazing chemistry and the sex was hot. Hot, sexy read with a bit of kink.
