So, by now you know that I am a major fan of Lucy Lennox and her Made Marian books. And of course, when presented with the opportunity to get a copy of Jumping Jude in audiobook, I lost my mind and immediately snatched it up. Because, y’know, Lucy Lennox + Made Marian series + extreme addiction to audiobooks + me = match made in heaven. And, it was definitely heaven listening to Jumping Jude as narrated by Michael Pauley.

If you read or listened to Borrowing Blue, you were quickly introduced to Jude Marian and his bodyguard Derek Wolfe. Ever since BB, I have been dying to read Jude and Derek’s story. And, here it is! YAY! *does happy dance*

Country singer Jude Marian, is sexy, extremely talented, and has a secret ex who has been making some rather serious threats as of late. Oh yeah, Jude is closeted and his ex is a man. So, needless to say, he decides to hire a bodyguard. Queue Derek Wolfe, hotter than hot ex-marine turned bodyguard. Being hired to protect the famous singer, Jude Marian, may just be the hardest mission of his life.

Derek keeps a watchful eye on Jude and keeps him safe from a distance, always. And Jude has come to rely on Derek’s protective and comforting presence wherever he is. Neither man knows that the other is closeted and attracted to the other. That is, until Jude’s ex’s threats become hard to ignore. Now, Jude feels forced to come out to the world. Unfortunately, that would put Derek in the spotlight as well. But he is not yet ready to come out.

Okay, Jumping Jude is sweet, heart wrenching, and so very sexy. I laughed. I cried. And, I even cheered at the end. Jude and Derek’s story got me right in the feels so hard. As with Blue & Tristan and Jamie & Teddy, Jude and Derek are absolutely perfect together.

Making this book even more amazing was the superb narration of Michael Pauley. Don’t get me wrong, there were some things in the audiobook that took a bit of getting used to because they were not exactly as I imagined them from reading the ebook (namely Jude’s country accent even tho he’s Californian). But, once I suspended my original opinions formed when reading the book myself, I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. Michael Pauley, you did one heck of a job! Thank you so much for narrating the series. And Lucy, I <3 you so hard.
