Sexy-as-sin bounty hunter Hunter Jones lives, eats, and breathes his next case. He’s always been content to live his life on the road with no attachments and no one to answer to. Love is for other people. But when he stops in a small town for a little R&R and meets up with a fellow bounty hunter to review a case, he runs into the man of his wet dreams. Hunter isn’t ready for love, but Van turns his head and heart upside down. Donovan “Van” Madsen has it all: a lucrative business, a close-knit family, and a best friend. But something is missing. Van always dreamed of finding the “one,” but never thought it would happen … until Hunter. The mutual attraction is instant and intense between the two men. Neither can say goodbye. When trouble brews and Van is kidnapped, Hunter realizes life is too short to not take what he wants. In this action-packed romance, both men’s lives are on the line and their love might not be enough to save them.
REVIEW:
Dakota Storm’s debut story is a fast paced, exciting and very entertaining read. I’m not saying it’s perfect but it is certainly very gripping and shows lots of potential.
I fell in love with the cover when I first saw it and it perfectly reflects the whole atmosphere of the story. We have two smoking hot, independent, and strong MCs, who meet and fall instantly in lust and love with each other. This is a true insta-love story, so if you are a fan of that, you are in for a great treat with lots of boiling emotions and sizzling hot sexy time. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Hunter and Van, but their ‘love’ was a bit rushed for my taste. The banter and general conversation is well written and lifelike, except Hunter’s overuse of ‘baby’, which some of you will like, I’m sure.
The story has a great pace, lots of action and a gripping plot that will make you glued to the pages. There are a few typos, and another set of proofing would do it good, but overall I enjoyed the writing. I would have liked a bit more depth, but for a short read I think we see enough to root for Hunter and Van.
For a debut story, I think Hunter is a very promising read and it gives a few hours of fun entertainment. I also think this story would make a great movie. Hope you enjoy it!
