REVIEW:

Trent feels like he’s in over his head being a single dad. His son Oscar is his entire world now and Trent is so focused on being the best dad he can be that he’s completely ignoring himself and what he needs. Trent has read all the books on parenthood and tries to do everything by the book, sometimes it works, most times it doesn’t! Trent is absolutely exhausted he is trying to be everything to everybody, he owns his own engineering management firm and employs five people, he tries to keep in contact with the few friends that stuck around after Oscar was born as well as being a very hands-on single father.

Arlo is a stay-at-home dad who loves his wife, his two children and his job. Almost every weekend Arlo tries to take Steady and Hope to the park so they all interact with other people. One morning Arlo notices a man who looks like he’s fallen asleep staring at his son, then he comes to the rescue with a fresh diaper and gets to meet Oscar and his dad Trent. Arlo and Trent hit it off immediately but more importantly so do the kids. Soon Trent and Arlo are spending as much time together as they can. Arlo convinces Trent to join his gym where they have childcare so they can take their children with them. Arlo’s wife Cara had her own business which has just been bought out and now she’s busier than ever, even though she travels all over the world regularly for her job Cara and Arlo are still very much in love. Cara meets Trent and they all seem to just click, soon Trent is spending almost all his spare time with Arlo, Cara {when she’s home} and the kids. Cara is very much aware of how close Arlo and Trent have become. It’s only when her friends comment on the new hot gay couple at their gym and then show her photos of them that she realises just how close Arlo and Trent are! The photo is of them kissing goodbye outside the gym.

This is where things get a bit complicated, Arlo is married to Cara, {they’re very much in love with each other}, Trent is a straight man who finds himself very attracted to a married who seems to be just as attracted to him. Trent, Arlo and Cara all have a lot of thinking and talking to do about what they want out of the relationship they have all developed and they want it to go. There are so many ups and downs in this book that sometimes they do catch you unawares but you always know exactly what is happening with who, to who, about who! We Are Fallingwater is a very emotional story that will tug at your heartstrings and make you fall in love with the characters every chapter. I highly recommend that you get yourself a copy and sit down with your favorite drink and read til your heart’s content!!
