Noah Landers wakes up one day with a headache and no memory of where—or who—he is. Jason, the man taking care of him, tries to fill in some of the blanks: they’re in a cabin in Colorado on vacation, and Noah slipped on ice and hit his head. But even with amnesia, Noah knows Jason is leaving out something important.
Jason O’Reilly is sexy as hell, treats Noah like he’s precious, and seems determined to make this the romantic getaway they’d apparently dreamed of together. But Noah’s more concerned that he’s trapped alone with Jason in the middle of a blizzard while his slowly-returning memories bring hints of secrets and betrayal.
Noah’s not sure what’s the truth and what’s a lie. But as he learns who he is—and who Jason is to him—he’s forced to reevaluate everything he believes about himself, about loyalty . . . and about love.
REVIEW:
This is most definitely one of the best books I’ve read this month, without a doubt!! Whiteout is laid out in such a unique way that you can’t help but be completely ensnared from just the first few pages. New author, Elyse Springer has come out of the gates swinging and quite frankly, hit this one way out of the park. The writing was masterful, the characters were incredibly complex, and I felt like I knew them. This story captures so many different emotions in me…at one point I was suspicious, then devastated, then hopeful, then heartbroken…this author rung me out to dry and I truly loved every minute of it.
Whiteout tells the story of Jason and Noah with a twist. Jason and Noah have been together for about 6 months when they decide to take a trip to a snowy paradise in Colorado. Being a city boy and not accustom to snowstorms Noah slips, falls and hits his head while out shoveling snow.
Coming to, Noah realizes he doesn’t remember anything. Jason, his caretaker is patient and slowly begins nursing Noah back to health but not trying to overwhelm him.
Noah knows something is wrong with the whole situation involving himself and Jason but he just cannot figure it out.
This story is told and 2 parts, the first part consists of the trip to Colorado and Noah’s head injury. The 2nd part is everything that comes after including THE BIG TWIST.
I wasn’t expecting anything that happened in this story which made everything that happens so fascinating. I literally could not put this one down. I had to know what was going to happen and was frantically reading every word. It was suspenseful, sweet, caring, and painful.
This was absolutely amazing and had the sweetest, most hopeful ending.
Get this book…get it now!! Recommend.
***the next 2 books in the series are f/f which is not my genre of choice so I will be skipping those. But if they’re anything life Whiteout and you like reading f/f….I’m sure you’ll love them because this author blew me away with this one.
