Introducing a brand-new male/male dragon shifter series from bestselling LGBTQ author Sean Michael!
Meet the Beteferoce brothers. Five dragon shifters, each with a strong elemental power. And each with a fierce desire to find his soul mate…
For years, dragon-shifter-slash-firefighter Jake has been searching for his mate, but he’s beginning to tire of the search. Maybe soul mates are only for the lucky few.
Then he meets Shae.
A former navy welder, Shae is handsome, talented, into power play and rough sex, and covered in dragon tattoos. All of this suits the shape-shifting dragon just fine—until he finds out that Shae literally has Jake’s family crest already tattooed on him. A coincidence? Or something more…
Jake must convince Shae to trust him as a man and as a Dom before the heat between them burns out of control. Becoming a dragon’s mate is not without danger, and Shae will need Jake’s guidance—and love—if he’s going to make it through alive.
This book is approximately 76,000 words
REVIEW:
I’ve read a lot of BDSM books since I first discovered them, not as many as some others, I’m sure, but by now I know what works for me and what doesn’t when it comes to literature. This one? It totally worked for me. 🙂 Jake has been around a while, bearing in mind that he’s several hundred years old, and at this point in his life he’s pretty much given up on the idea of finding his soulmate. He falls in lust frequently and plays around but has never committed more than a couple of weeks to any one man. When he meets Shae for the first time, he’s pretty much determined to climb the man like a tree but an unexpected bit of information and a large case of foot in mouth syndrome squashes his plans for the evening. After shoving Jake out the door, Shae resigns himself to leaving that bit of crazy behind but it doesn’t stop him from thinking about the hot guy with muscles in all the right places. He knows he shouldn’t give him another chance but still can’t help falling into bed with Jake anyway. Happily ever after is something he’s given up on though, as is finding a Dom that can actually give him what he needs; its about as much of a fairly tale as coming face to face with a real live dragon…right?
So, let me start off by saying that if you’re looking for a sweet fluffy romance with a bit of kink…you’re looking at the wrong book. Lol This is pretty much straight up erotica with some character building and enough back story to make/keep me interested and yearning for more. Most of it has to do with the connection between the main characters but the rest of it is pretty much two hot guys wanting to get their rocks off…in the kinkiest way possible, of course. The sex, while a lot, was nicely varied and did a good job of keeping my attention even while I marveled at the sheer amount of it. Lol The characters themselves (all of them, not just the main characters) were interesting and everything I found out about them and about the dragons in general made me excited to learn more. (I have to say that, even though I enjoyed Jake and Shae’s story, I’m actually looking forward to reading about Mark more and I’m not sure if I should feel guilty about that or not. :D)
This was just a lot of hot smutty fun with an added bonus of dragons which, in my opinion, pretty much just makes everything better. If you enjoy Sean Michael’s works, you’ll enjoy this latest offering but if you’d like more romance and plot to your reads, I’d recommend looking for something else.
