BLURB:
Levi Ramone entered the gay porn market for one reason, and one reason only: he needed the cash to pay his momma’s spiraling gambling debts. Seven years later, he’s a veteran with a reputation as one of Blue Boy Studio’s most ruthless tops, and when his boss suggests it’s time for a change, he finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun. Figuratively speaking, at least. Enter Sonny Valentine, a go-go dancer at Blue’s sister club, Silver’s. Levi has secretly admired Sonny from afar for years, but there’s a problem. He can’t stand Sonny and the feeling is entirely mutual. When Levi learns Sonny is to play the third part in a scene he already considers his worst nightmare, he figures things can’t get any worse. But when preparations for the scene from hell collide with tragic events in his personal life, he finds his fast-growing, red-hot attraction to Sonny just might be the only thing left between him and a bullet.
REVIEW:
Ohmy… Garrett Leigh and her sucker punches… Bullett is the first book in the Blue Boy series. When I read the blurb and saw it was about porn stars I was really intrigued and expected a fun read with lots of sex. Well, we got plenty of sex don’t get me wrong but in typical Garrett Leigh fashion I should have known it wasn’t going to be a light read. If you enjoy porn or you are simply interested in what’s really going on behind the scenes, and who these guys can really be, this is the series for you. Garrett Leigh delivers as always with her signature writing style, raw and honest portrayal.
Bullett is Levi’s story, who is a legendary model in the porn industry, and being 26 he counts as a true veteran, who is famous for being a brutal top, never ever bottoming himself… not unless the money is right… see the main point of the whole story and the series is to show how everything has lots of sides, to show a rarely seen aspect of the wonderful world of porn. Behind all the glamour we see there are living, breathing, feeling people. Levi is a miserable, lonely figure as we get to know him and his circumstances, and learn his reasons of working not only as a mechanic but also as a model to make enough money.
Getting a bit of insight of the magical world of porn is equal amount intriguing, eye-opening and thought-provoking.
Levi and Sonny’s forming relationship is beautifully written. I love their interactions, their deepening connection and their amazing chemistry. With Sonny’s help Levi can finally find himself and star living and enjoying life again. The balance of the heavy topic woven together with a lively porn background gives an unforgettable story. I enjoyed every minute of it and was glued to my kindle till the last word… I can’t wait to read more.
