BLURB:
LA cop Jericho Crewe got the hell out of Mosely, Montana, when he was seventeen. Fifteen years later, he’s back, and everything is just as messed up as when he left. He planned a quick visit to deal with his injured father, but of course things are never that simple. Family complications, police complications, social complications—and, as always, Wade Granger complications.
Jericho and Wade had been so close, once upon a time. First friends, then more than friends—and then, after Jericho’s escape, nothing. Wade’s magnetism hasn’t been lessened by a decade and a half apart; even when Jericho learns that Wade is the prime suspect in the death of Jericho’s father, the old connection still sparks.
When Jericho’s newly discovered half siblings are kidnapped, he needs to trust someone to help him find them. Wade’s a terrible choice, but Jericho’s never been known for his good judgment. Anyway, he’d rather make a bad decision with Wade than a good one with anybody else.
REVIEW:
If I ever utter the words, “I NEED to have sex in my books!!” please be so kind as reminding me about this series.
Long Shadows is primarily a suspense, thriller, mystery with underlining sexual tension that will keep you so unbelievably committed to this story. I mean, these characters don’t even kiss but there was a moment when they were inside each other and they were just barely touching. I absolutely adore this author. I love the way she tells a story. I find myself hanging onto her every word because I know every single moment is important.
Long Shadows is book 1 of a series involving LAPD Detective Jericho Crewe who is summoned back to his tiny hometown in Mosely, Montana. What he assumes is going to be a quick trip involving his fathers’ accident quickly turns into something worse and way more convoluted.
Sucked into a murder investigation was not what Jericho had planned. He was also not prepared to find out that he has two half-siblings who are in danger and an irresponsible, volatile stepmother.
He’s plans of a quick escape are even further deterred when he gets into contact again with former friend and ex –lover, Wade Granger.
Jericho is a cop, sworn to obey and protect. Wade is a small town criminal and he’s good at what he does. The feelings between these two are not dead however but they have a huge mystery to solve and they need to rely on each other to do it.
Like I mentioned this isn’t a hearts and flowers story. This is gritty with good guy vs. bad guy elements.
This is sprinkled with tiny bits of something more and I just loved it.
Kate Sherwood…I friggin adore this series, thank you!
Absolutely recommend!!
