REVIEW:
“Ahhhhhh!” That was the first word out of my mouth when I turned the last page.
Cal and Troy have been best friends since they were fourteen years old. That is when they both realized that they liked boys instead of girls and a bond formed that has now lasted ten years. They are mates but have never dated each other. The timing just never worked out. Either one or the other was dating when the other was single. But that has changed. And now, their camping/fishing trip with buddies, because of last minute cancellations, has turned to just the two of them. “Perfect Catch “is the sweet novella of what happens when the right moment comes your way.
I adored this book. It was a sweet, fun, fast read that left me smiling and with warm and fuzzy feelings surrounding my heart. These two hard working tradesmen, Troy – a mechanic and Cal – a builder, were so cute together. But the true icing on the cake was the men’s friends, especially Peta. She was such a little instigator, which was the final shove these men needed to see what was right there before their eyes, their true soul mate. I loved when they finally admitted “There was only you. It was always you. Since I was fourteen years old and you told me you liked boys too. It’s been you.”
Now this might have been a sweet little read but the author did spice up Cal and Troy’s story with some pretty steamy scenes. Although a bit shy and scared, when the moment was right, they each showed their best friend that they could each give and take as needed.
I can’t recommend this author or her books enough and “Perfect Catch” showed me that she is indeed a must-read author. And just like the boys said “You’re the perfect catch.” “No catch and release program here.” “Nope. Hook, line, and sinker. You’re a keeper.” This book is a keeper too! Great, fast read that leaves you with a smile on your face.
