REVIEW:
I have to say that when I got the request for this book, I was intrigued. I wanted to see if Elizabeth could top what she had done in the first book and she came out Swinging!! This book had me going from the first words until I finished the story.
This book had it all, mystery, suspense, action, shifters, vampires and just a dash of romance. It was such a great combination…that I kinda didn’t want the story to end.
I like that this story picks up a bit after the last book ended. The gang is now fully established in TVG and they are doing what they do best…Kicking Ass. This book starts off with a BANG…it’s Blair and Declan chasing after a suspect and from then on…it’s Game On!!
I love that Elizabeth through in some backstory on these characters. That you got to see them before their stories were shared. I really liked seeing these guys when they first met and how their friendships came to be. I liked seeing how their past affected their future. You are able to get to see that t
The Mystery/Suspense part was so well done…I was hooked! We just got some glimpses of this guy and can I just say…this was one bad guy. I liked that he was truly a psychopath and yet…I really liked that he knew exactly who he was and what he was doing…he just didn’t care. It was all about him and that is all that matters. This Bad Guy was just that…Bad To The Bone and completely ok with it. I have to say that he was just bad enough for me to really start to like him and want more of him. I like that this bad guy has history with our guys. How…well….you’ll just have to read the book and see.
As this is a DSP book, you know that these stories aren’t really romance driven. In saying that…I was totally ok with that. It didn’t detract from the story at all. You know that they are couples and that there is romance elements…but nothing was on screen. I have to say that in this story, it was a really good call and it paid off wonderfully.
This book was a thrill ride that I really enjoyed being on and I really enjoyed getting some backstory and the ending…HAPPY FEELS. A great continuation from Jack Rabbit. I look forward to what the author has in store for the next book in the series.
