A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship.
Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived…
Well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the Bright Future.
When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends. Theo’s ex economics tutor and newest roommate Mr Jamie Cooper seems to be a possible and convenient match. Real convenient. Like written in the stars, convenient.
All he has to do is make sure this Jamie is good enough. Could really be the one for her, and the friend for him.
But watch out, Leo, the stars have a surprise in store…
REVIEW:
This story was just the right amount of everything sweet that you could possibly imagine. These guys were just so perfectly matched. Theo was incredibly oblivious. I found his whole personality completely endearing. I loved how open-minded he was even when he didn’t fully understand what was going on with him and Jamie. This story was written so incredibly well, every aspect of it just made me thirsty for more.
Theo is nursing a broken heart and it doesn’t help he and his sister are constantly reminded that their ex’s moved on…with each other! Emotional reprieve comes in the form of new roommate Jamie. For some reason Theo and Jamie bond almost immediately and Theo being as oblivious as he is doesn’t really understand why…but just goes with it.
I think what really drew me into this book was the connection between Jamie and Theo. It was so natural. Not forced they had true, amazing chemistry and it lit up the pages even when they were just friendly flirting.
I also really loved the characters in this book. The mom was so colorful with her horoscopes and psychic tendencies. The brother/sister bond that Theo on Leone shared made me incredibly envious and I really liked how supportive and patient everyone was with Theo, especially Jamie.
When Theo’s eyes are finally opened….HOLY HELL!!! There’s not a ton of sex in this book but what does happen between Theo and Jamie is explosive. The foundation that they built as friends helped seal and solidify everything that came after.
Overall, I loved this book. The slow burn at the beginning dragged a bit but I see how it was necessary for these characters to get to where a relationship was possible.
Adored this….can’t wait for book 2…RECOMMEND!!
