AMBER
Everyday History by Alice Archer
“…..if you read 1 book this year it NEEDS to be this one. This is no conventional love story and you’ll see why when you read it. In fact there is nothing conventional about it. Everything and I mean everything about this story is exceptional…if I could think of a better word than exceptional then I would use it…it’s that and so much more. “
The Art of Hero Worship by Mia Kerick
“This story takes the reader on a trip through devastation and horror but along that path we are led through salvation, hope, love and new beginnings. The love Jason and Liam had for each other was nothing short of breathtaking. Absolutely recommend this story! Wholeheartedly, great writing and so thrilled to have discovered a new author that I will be seeking out in the future.”
The Protector Series by Sloane Kennedy
This is probably one of the best series I’ve ever read. It has all the things I love about M/M romance and really romance in general. Alpha males, passion, love, danger, and excitement…all of the great things that make romance great these books had. Loved them and I’m completely addicted.
Cyberlove Series by Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell
Both books that have come out in this series I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. The reason these are going on my “Best of 2016” is because what Meghan and Santino create is magical, remarkable, astounding. It’s absolutely unreal how completely addicting and phenomenal these books are….AMAZING series!
“ I thoroughly LOVED this book. This had just the right amount of pain and angst. This story is incredibly involved and extremely well written. This author knows how to completely engage her readers and delivers stories that pack an emotional punch.”
It doesn’t hurt that this is a spinoff of the “Tad” series that I adored as well.
Enemies of the State by Tal Bauer
“Tal Bauer you are an amazing writer and this story was phenomenal. I loved the dynamic between the characters…this had it all angst, tension, denial, action, love, and suspense. This is a slow burn romance. These characters go through a lot of inner back and forth before they embrace what is right in front of them.”
Pictures of You (’90sComing of Age #1) by Leta Blake
“You know, I’ve probably said this like a bazillion times now but I friggin LOVE Leta Blake. I have no idea how she does it…but her books just sing. They’re like these catchy songs that just stick in your head and make you want to play them again and again. Book 1 of the ‘90s Coming of Age series is incredibly intense considering it centers on the lives of teenagers. It’s also out of this world good. Like so good I was doing mundane things in my everyday life and then all of the sudden, BOOM…I’d think of Adam and Peter.”
Excellent list, Amber. Tal Bauer was also a discovery for me this last year. I loved his books. I’ll take note of your other recommendations, though some of them are already in my TBR list
so many good books to add to my list!
Thanks for sharing, Amber – your list gives me a couple of titles I didn’t familiar before. Would look them up …and probably would add to my TBR queue as well. This sort of list is not helping book-addict to limit their reading. 😉
The Protectors Series by Sloane Kennedy was one of my favorite reads last year.
Some other books on your list I haven’t read yet, but I will put them on my TBR list. They sound very interesting.
I loved Every Day History, one of my favorites from last year.
I especially like Leta Blake, Sloane Kennedy & Tal Bauer. Leta’s Pictures of You series is so good it’s bringing me back to old days. 😀 Reminding me memories, sometimes painful sometimes good. Sloane’s Protectors series awakened the inner lion in me. The thrill, the power, the cops’ scenes. They’re like lighting up fire inside me. Tal Bauer’s Executive Office series brought a whole new different story (at least for me). The POTUS & the security detail?! Oh, that’s perfect match! The sexual tension is so scorching I’m burned. Totally a great read!
Thanks for the list, Amber! That Everydau History by Alice Archer has been on my list for quite a time. I hope I could find time to read or at least I hope I find the will to be in the “zone”.
