Daniel was an Untouchable destined to be trained as a companion to a high ranking Cubus. A red-eyed Incubus screwed all that up at a dinner party, and Daniel is now a confused Changeling with a libido far exceeding anything he could ever have dreamed off.
Seldon failed in keeping the Untouchable under his care safe, and he accidentally dosed the too young human. His worst fears came to pass when Daniel turned out to be a Changeling, and Seldon now has to face the Cubi justice for turning someone so young.
Luckily, Seldon has a powerful friend at his side—one who also has an eye for the young beauty.
REVIEW:
I’m really enjoying this new series from this author. He never fails to please, and currently has two very good series going, that I know of. I’ve heard there may be another under a different pen name…which I will have to follow up on!
Claimed Beauty began pretty much exactly where the first book in the series ended. These books are reading more like one long book than multiples. Again with this one it ends mid-stream, so we know there is more to come. If you aren’t a fan of cliffhangers, I would say this one isn’t for you. Also if you prefer a tame romance, this might not be for you. And by the way…there is also a lot of sex.
In this current installment, it is shortly after Daniel was accidentally dosed by his ‘master’ Seldon. Even though Seldon didn’t do it on purpose, the Cubi don’t find guilt by intent, but rather by the result. Daniel has been dosed years too early, and then it turns out he is a Changeling. Things get very complicated, very fast. Seldon has to be punished, and so does the red-eyed Cubi who caused the early dosing. Strapped to a pole and whipped until the skin is virtually stripped from the back type punishment…in case that is a trigger for you.
There are some huge surprises for Daniel and the rest of the cast in this one. Although I didn’t see them coming, I really liked when the surprising things showed up. It was an entertaining story, which only left me wanting more. Now I will have to wait patiently, or not so patiently as the case might be, for the next installment.
As usual, this author produces a well written and superbly edited story, whether it one of his books through eXtasy, or one of this new series which are self-published. Great job as usual!
I highly recommend the Cubi series.
