Two incurable bachelors, one incredible journey…
Jagger Jackson hides behind a sexy playboy veneer. He’d rather people see him as a man who doesn’t believe in love, rather than one who doesn’t deserve it. No matter how hard he works, he still sees himself as the unlovable boy from the wrong side of the tracks.
Miller Brexler doesn’t believe he’ll ever meet a man who could make him want to settle down. He’s perfectly happy with his hit it and quit it lifestyle. Behind his easygoing nature is a man who’s passionately devoted to his career, family, and friends.
JJ and Miller are brought together when their best friends meet and fall in love. Sparks fly from the very beginning and no matter how much they try to fight it, their attraction is unavoidable. What starts out as “just sex” has the potential to become so much more if JJ can come to terms with his painful past, and Miller is willing to admit that love may be the missing piece in his seemingly perfect life.
Will these two stubborn hearts admit that they might’ve been wrong about love or will they allow the chance at true happiness to slip away? This is the tale of two imperfect men that together make a perfect fit.
Perfect Fit is the fourth book in the Fated Hearts series and can be read as a standalone novel or as part of the series. Many of the characters in the book have been introduced in Chasing Mr. Wright, Rhythm of Us, and Surrender Your Heart.
REVIEW:
Of the 4 books I’ve read in the Fated Hearts series this one was my favorite, so far. I really enjoyed the fact that this wasn’t instalove right off the bat. For some reason this author really loves getting super sappy really early in her stories. This one was more realistic, in my opinion. Reading Perfect Fit reenergized me to this series. It was really quite enjoyable.
JJ has believed he doesn’t deserve love for the better part of his life. Having endured trauma no one should have to go through his guilt eats away at him to the point where he cuts himself off emotionally from all the people he loves.
Miller likes his attachment free bachelorhood. He has no need for relationships being a love them and leave them type of guy. He is in no way prepared for the attraction he feels for his mutual friend, JJ.
JJ and Miller give into their crazy attraction and insatiable lust. Believing it’s a one-off they are unprepared for the pull they have for one another. Deciding to try a friend with benefits type of relationship both men willing explore their desire for one another.
Having two alpha men, deathly afraid of commitment come together there are bound to be hiccups along the way. JJ and Miller fight to be together and when they get to the point where they admit their feelings amazing things happen.
This story is full of drama, angst, trauma, and a lot of HOT sexy time. Like I mentioned this was by far the best of the series for me. I was always curious about JJ’s story and it was great to see him find happiness with Miller.

Does the heart have a memory?
Noah McKinney and Maverick Rodriguez met when they were seven years old. Maverick’s family moved into the house next to Noah’s aunt, where Noah spent every summer of his childhood. During those three months every year, the boys were inseparable as they swam in the waters of coastal North Carolina, rode bikes, told ghost stories, and dreamed of finding hidden pirate treasures. A sweet friendship developed into an even sweeter young love, but then Maverick disappeared out of Noah’s life as suddenly as he appeared.
Twenty-two years later, Noah returns to Beaufort, North Carolina after he receives a call that his ancestral home has been vandalized. He is overwhelmed with a feeling that fate has something more up her sleeve than a simple home repair, but never in a million years would he have guessed what was waiting for him.
Maverick has returned to Beaufort in an attempt to stop running from his past and what better place than the source of his happiest memories. He quickly earns a reputation as the best in the business at restoring old homes to their former glory. No matter how successful his business has grown, he still feels there is something missing in his life. Or is it someone?
Noah and Maverick’s reunion is nothing like either man has fantasized about for so many years, but beneath the strain is an undeniable attraction and a feeling of rightness that neither man can deny or resist. However, giving in to their desires doesn’t erase their doubts and fears. Maverick knows that nothing of the boy Noah loved remains inside of him. He thinks he’s better as a memory than the man he’s become. Noah fears that Maverick will disappear again and doubts he could survive the heartbreak a second time.
The heart wants what the heart wants and it won’t be denied.
Can the two men overcome their fears and doubts to take a chance on a love that promises to burn brighter than the sun? Or will they use the obstacles they face as excuses to spare themselves from potential heartbreak?
REVIEW:
Return to Me was different with the historical aspect added in but the sappy instalove was in abundance with this story. I think my favorite part in this story was the added element of Octavius and Elijah’s love story. It was equal parts tragic and romantic. I found myself wanting to know more about them then I wanted to know about the main characters.
Noah McKinney has never quite gotten over his childhood love Maverick Rodriguez. Years pass and he finds himself back in his childhood home after some kids vandalize it.
Maverick Rodriguez enjoys owning his own construction business. Having moved back to his childhood town has brought back bittersweet memories but he is bound and determined to succeed. He’s shocked when his newest job is the home of the first boy he’s ever loved, Noah.
The attraction between Noah and Mav burns brighter now than it did when they were kids. True to this authors form these two go from seeing each other to madly in love in about a split second. A big difference is these two have to try and make their relationship work long distance.
Through trials and tribulations Mav and Noah forge a life together built of the past and future.
Like I’ve mentioned several times in these reviews my biggest issue with this series is there’s no real meat on the bones with these stories. There’s nothing juicy. Nothing to chew on and delve into they’ve all followed the exact same pattern and it just makes them incredibly common and somewhat boring.
I want to stress that the writing isn’t bad. This is a talented author and its obvious people really enjoy her stories.

I’d often felt lost in the shadow of my older brother, Sebastian Blake. People either ran from me in fear or tried to use me to get to him. In my struggle to forge my own path, I’d taken a wrong turn a time or two, which nearly cost me my life. It’s true that what doesn’t kill you can make you stronger, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t filled with self-doubt and questioned my worthiness of being loved.
The minute I met Tomas Sarantos, I knew there was something special between us. I felt a connection to him that I’d never felt with anyone else, but I sadly watched the heat fade from his eyes the minute he learned who I was. My only choices were to accept his offer of friendship or nothing at all.
Tom became the best friend I’d ever had and I fell deeper in love with him every day. I died a little bit inside every time he talked about the love he was hoping to find and the family he wanted to have with someone else. My heart screamed at me to tell him that his search was over and that I was right there in front of him. Yet, I held my tongue and battled myself daily for over a year to hide my feelings from him. I lacked the courage to make a move, no matter how tired I was of denying my feelings for him.
* * *
I finally had everything I’d dreamed of when I accepted the position of CFO at Blake Industries – well, almost everything. I still hadn’t found the man I wanted to build a life with, until I met Wesley King. He was everything I ever wanted, but he was also the one I could never have. Dating in the workplace was risky enough, but falling in love with the CEO’s only brother was professional suicide. Too bad my heart wasn’t in agreement.
Wesley became the most important person in my life, the one I shared everything with except the one thing I wanted to give him – my heart. For an entire year, I tried to talk myself out of loving him and focused my efforts on finding someone attainable. I probably set a world record for dating disasters and all that I accomplished was to make me want Wesley even more.
Then life threw me a curveball and made me reevaluate everything. I could either take a chance that Wesley still felt the spark I once saw in him or continue on being miserable in the “friend zone.” It would either be the happiest time of my life or the most mortifying, but I’d never know unless I tried.
REVIEW:
Ugh. This may have been the worst of the series for me but I have one more to go so I guess we’ll see. My biggest issue with these stories is the fact that the HEA comes so early on. Yes, there are minor issues along the way but these characters are planning their future together like 20% into the story. It’s almost like this author used the exact same outline for each story and just changed characters name, places, etc. This one was incredibly predictable and boring.
Wesley and Tomas have known each other for awhile and have skirted the issue of their attraction for the majority of that time. Factors such as fraternization and the possibility of ruining their close friendship have stopped them from ever moving out of the “friend zone.”
Circumstances arise that bring their attraction to the forefront and once it’s out in the open Wes and Tom are helpless to fight it.
From there it’s pretty much sunshine, rainbows, puppies, and kittens. There’s very little conflict or personal growth along the way. It’s honestly like you blink and they are HEA.
Unfortunately, this falls into the “if you’ve read one then you’ve read them all category. These books are so similar it’s hard not to get into a funk when you are reading them. It’s unfortunate because the concepts are good just weird how they are executed.
This was blah….could have lived without it, to be honest.
