Germ is a charming, flirtatious genius behind a computer screen, but when he has to converse face-to-face, he’s an awkward mess. “Jeremy Russell has always compensated for his weirdness by making jokes, usually at inappropriate times. All his friends call him Germ, after all. Give him a computer and he’s happy most days. Then he meets Reggie Mize and discovers an attraction he just can’t ignore.
Reggie has gone his entire life without knowing love. His sister, Victoria, certainly doesn’t love him, considering she tried to sell him to the highest bidder. When Jeremy starts paying attention to him, he’s not sure how to get over his shyness long enough to hold a conversation, not to mention ask the man on a date. Can both men get over their awkwardness long enough to make it work?
REVIEW:
Jeremy “Germ” Russell is the resident computer geek for Demon Elite. He is the one who can and does do anything with computers for the team. Everyone relies on Germ to get them information on anything and everything and he gets it. Germ is also the biggest flirt out of all the men from Demon Elite and Lakehouse Security put together. He doesn’t want any of them, what they don’t realise is the only reason he teases and flirts is when they need to be distracted, something else to focus on for a while.
From the moment Germ met Reggie Mize he was smitten. Even though Reggie is Victoria Mize’s brother, both her and their father treated him so badly that he was very nearly destroyed. All Reggie has ever wanted to do was be an artist but his father would ridicule him constantly, because of this Reggie never went near anything artistic again. The men from Demon Elite found Reggie and rescued him from being sold as a sex slave by Victoria. It turns out Reggie is just as taken with Germ; he spends every spare moment with him trying to remember anything that might help them catch Victoria. The major obstacle for Germ in winning Reggie is that since he met Reggie he’s become incredibly shy, he finds he can’t talk to him like he can the others, then there’s Max. Max is basically a manwhore, he will have sex with just about anyone.
Reggie is so fearful of being either beaten or punished in some way for the slightest thing that he practically walks around on eggshell all the time. Germ finds this nauseating as there’s nothing in his files on Reggie about why he would have this kind of reaction, he knows Victoria tried to sell him to the highest bidder but there’s nothing about what else she did to abuse Reggie. Victoria even went so far as to have a tracking chip implanted in him so she could always find him if he tried to run away again. The one thing he doesn’t do is tell anyone in the house and when they become surrounded by Victoria’s men in the shopping mall they all suspect him of double-crossing them. This does not go down well with Germ, he feels betrayed. He thought he had a chance at a relationship with Reggie!
The men of Demon Elite are catching more of Victoria’s men but they have yet to catch her. You must get a copy of Germ to find out what is happening with the investigation. Does Germ and Reggie have a chance to have a relationship? I recommend that you read the entire series of Demon Elite so you will know exactly what’s happening with the team.
