One year ago Lee and Tony met in the club Hard Candy and what started as just a one night stand quickly morphed into much, much more. Now, Lee is back at the club where it all started for one night of dancing and debauchery before he returns back home to his lover. While the atmosphere is enough to get anyone’s heart pumping, it’s the dark man in leather that really gets Lee’s blood pumping but after such a hot encounter, will going home to Tony be enough?
Anyone that’s been following the blog for a few years may recognize this story; Chris reviewed the first edition of this book back in 2014 but it has since been expanded with the addition of a prequel story detailing just how Lee and Tony first met. The original story is first in the collection followed up by the new edition, as that was how the author felt they should be read, and I have to say I agree with that decision.
While the original story, Sex and Candy, is pretty much pure porn, well written and enjoyable pure porn, the prequel, Candy Rain, gives you a bit more story and a better glimpse of the characters before they jump into bed together. I really enjoyed both of them; Sex and Candy pushed all the right buttons for a short, steamy illicit type of encounter while Candy Rain, while also steamy, had an unexpected bit of sweetness added to it that left me feeling all mushy inside when I was done reading it. Both stories were well written and were great for a quick read in between doing other chores.
If you’re looking for a quick diversion from other responsibilities, or just something that will get your own blood pumping, you might want to check this one out. There was a lot packed in this short story and it was totally worth the read. 🙂
