REVIEW:
Raudel Cruz has been Chad’s sister Lindsey’s best friend since they were in school together. Chad has been in love with Raudel since high school and yes Lindsey has known since Chad opened his big mouth and asked for her help. It’s safe to say, Lindsey’s help didn’t help at all and Chad has gone out of his way to avoid any contact with Raudel since that time!
There I one small problem, Raudel is now attending Lindsey’s wedding and as Chad is in the wedding party he can no longer avoid him. Lindsey has arranged for family and friends to stay at Lake Tahoe for a week for pre-wedding celebrations and as there’s only one bedroom left, with twin beds, it looks like Raudel will be sharing with Chad. So, not only does Chad must contend with Lindsey being a bridezilla he also must come to terms with the fact that he will be sharing a house and room with the one person he wants to avoid.
After arriving at the house Chad drops the chocolate fountain that Lindsey “has to have” and gets roped into going to town with Raudel to find another one. This is where they reconnect and Raudel explains to Chad that he too has been in love with Chad since high school. Although Raudel has had several relationships nothing ever worked out long-term, it’s seeing Chad again that makes him realise the reason is because he was and still is in love with Chad. They spend the day looking for chocolate fountains and talking about everything, even the humiliating event that made Chad disappear from Raudel’s life all those years ago.
Over the next week both Raudel and Chad take every opportunity to be alone together as they get to relearn all there is to know about each other. Even through the mayhem of a wedding where things are determined to go wrong, Chad’s parents who seem to have taken up lodging’s in the woodshed to beer and hide from Lindsey Chad and Raudel manage to reconnect and fall in love all over again. I have no hesitation in recommending Honeymoon Their Way to everyone who enjoys reading m/m romance stories.
