And Ethan steps back into the action with Lieutenant Adam Cooper, taking charge of a covert kill team tasked with hunting down General Madigan once and for all.
But Madigan is elusive, and his dangerous reach is long. He strikes at Jack and Ethan from the shadowy corners of the globe, unraveling their entire world. As the mad general draws new allies together, he is single-minded in his quest to destroy the only two men who ever beat him.
He will stop at nothing until Jack and Ethan are shattered men, worlds apart, and struggling to get back to one another.
And after that, Madigan’s true revenge begins …
REVIEW:
I absolutely LOVE the way this author tells a story. Tal Bauer takes a topic like politics and makes it absolutely riveting. It doesn’t hurt that Ethan and Jack are hotter than ever and unbelievably enough even more in love.
Book 2 of The Executive Office series is action packed and grabs your attention right from the beginning. The world of politics is full of selfish machinations and this book doesn’t pull any punches.
Ethan and Jack are trying to settle into their new life in the White House. Ethan has to get use to his new role as the First Gentleman and all that entails. Things are good but there’s still a lot of evil in the world and it’s gunning for Jack and Ethan.
When I say this book is choked full of action I am not lying. Its unreal the danger that Ethan and Jack find themselves in. There’s betrayal, kidnapping, murder, beatings….and CLONES, people…friggin CLONES. It’s crazy how much is going on but it’s not too much. You won’t be able to put this one down. It sucks you in and you absolutely have to find out what is going to happen next.
As I mentioned Jack and Ethan are solid throughout the majority of the book. There’s a major shock that occurs and their foundation gets a pretty significant shake but what I love about Jack and Ethan is how solid they are. When they decided to go all in on their relationship they never wavered in their convictions, I love that about these two characters.
We see the return of some major characters from book 1 and some pretty interesting subplots develop. I honestly don’t know how I am going to wait for book 3.
Oh, I should also warn…CLIFFHANGER, major CLIFFHANGER alert!!!
Definitely recommend.
