A warm welcome to author Lucie Archer joining us today to celebrate new release “Taming the Wyld”.
Lucie brought with her main character Jake Wyld to answer some questions and there is also a giveaway to participate in!
Welcome Lucie 🙂
An Interview with Jake Wylder
[Lucie] Hello everyone! Today I’m interviewing Jake Wyld, one of the main characters in my debut novella, Taming the Wyld.
[Jake] (manly giggle)
[Lucie] What?
[Jake] Don’t you mean the main character? You did kind of name the book after me.
[Lucie] (evil laugh)
[Jake] What?
[Lucie] I named you after the book.
[Jake] I’m not a big fan of details.
[Lucie] I know… As I was saying, today I’m interviewing Jake who is a lifelong resident of Alaska and the sole proprietor of Wyld Freight and Transport. He spends most of his time flying around to different locales, but he also enjoys fishing, exploring the wilderness, and… dammit, Jake, I’m not saying this!
[Jake] (smirks) I thought you liked details.
[Lucie] (intense glare) And “banging” his way all over the state.
[Jake] Don’t worry, I spoon them afterward.
[Lucie] Rumor has it you’re the little spoon.
[Jake] Who said that? Denny? I’m gonna kill him!
[Lucie] I can’t reveal my sources, but why don’t we just jump right into the questions? What’s your spirit animal?
[Jake] That’s easy, the bald eagle. We’re both majestic in the air… and in bed.
[Lucie] (groans) What’s your favorite food?
[Jake] Fresh caught fish, preferably ones I’ve caught myself. Also my best friend Denny’s Akutaq, which is Eskimo ice cream. I could live off that stuff.
[Lucie] Biggest fear?
[Jake] Dying alone, but don’t tell anyone I said that.
[Lucie] Celebrity crush?
[Jake] That’s a tough one… I’m gonna go with Chris Pratt and Natalie Portman
[Lucie] Item of clothing you can’t live without?
[Jake] Who needs clothes? (wink) Umm, probably my Rolling Stones T-shirt, which I seem to have misplaced at the moment.
[Lucie] Favorite villain?
[Jake] The Joker, but the old school ones like Jake Nicholson’s that were campy and ridiculous, not the dark, emo versions of today.
[Lucie] Are you a bad loser?
[Jake] I don’t lose. If I want something, I get it.
[Lucie] Usually by wearing the other person down.
[Jake] You have to admit it’s effective.
[Lucie] What do you want your tombstone to say?
[Jake] “Here lies Jacob Wylder II. He died doing who he loved.”
[Lucie] (shuts notebook) Aaaand that’s all the time we have for today.
[Jake] I saw ten more questions written down.
[Lucie] Oh, uh, those are for someone else… Anyway, thanks for sitting down with me.
[Jake] Anytime. (wink)
[Lucie] If you want to learn more about Jake, be sure to get your copy of Taming the Wyld.
[Jake] What are you doing later?
[Lucie] Not you.
[Jake] (sigh) Had to ask.
Blurb:
The Witness Protection Program dumps JD Smith practically at the ends of the earth—in Two Pines, Alaska—to protect him until he can testify against a dangerous gang. He tries to stick to his story and keep his head down, but it’s impossible to ignore bush pilot Jake Wylder, a sexy loner with quite a reputation around the small town.
Flying medical supplies around Alaska suits Jake’s wild streak and love of freedom. He’s perfectly content to keep his romantic encounters casual—at least until he meets JD. Something about the nurse makes Jake think settling down might not be such a hardship. Now he just needs to convince JD he’s serious—which won’t be easy, given his past.
For a relationship to stand a chance, JD must testify so he can return to Two Pines as the man he really is—and Jake must grow into the man JD needs him to be.

Meet Lucie:
Lucie Archer is a student of the universe who is obsessed with the stars, in love with beaches, and crazy about dudes falling in love. She tells stories of romance, love, and life, with a little bit of passion thrown in for good measure. Because what’s life without a little pop and sizzle?
When she’s not writing, she can be found tending to her garden, playing with her four-legged children, or procrastinating. Although, she spends a lot of time fending off random plot bunnies that threaten to derail her WIP’s.
