Book of the Week Poll
Welcome to the Love Bytes Book of the Week Poll!
Here are the books which achieved a 4.5 or 5.0 review last week from our reviewers.
As a reminder, the top two books from each week’s poll will roll into our Book of the Month poll at month’s end. Happy Voting!
Please scroll to the very bottom for the voting section.
POLL SCHEDULE:
This poll will remain open until at least 6PM, Amsterdam time next Friday. The actual closing time will vary depending on blog staff schedules…
NEW POLL RULES:
(Yes…that bear is watching you…)
Something has come to our attention over the last couple weeks that we at Love Bytes feel needs to be addressed immediately.
We set up the Book of the Week Poll, Book of the Month Poll, and Book of the Year Poll to be fun for readers, as well as to provide an additional avenue for our blog followers to catch up on the 4.5 and 5.0 Love Bytes reviews that they might have missed. It is also one more avenue for authors’ works to be seen by a greater number of our readers.
Unfortunately, lately there have been a couple incidents which have caused us to rethink how we handle the polls. It is NEVER acceptable for an author, a fan, or even worse…a publisher, to create a Facebook Event inviting a large number of people and asking those people to share the event to their individual entire Facebook friend list. This has happened more than once. It appears to have been done in order to steer a large number of individuals over to the poll to ensure that that author won or at least placed in the poll. In many cases, those “voters” have never heard of our blog and in some cases aren’t even individuals that read our genre. This is unfairly skewing the voting numbers on some books, and is unfair to the other authors on the polls.
PLEASE NOTE…We’re not in any way saying that authors can’t share the poll on their Facebook page, in their own group, etc. We’re saying that mass pushes to get voters…in any way possible…will be severely frowned upon. This poll is primarily for readers and we stress again is supposed to be fun! As a result of what came to light, we are instituting a new policy that any sort of vote “rigging” that we discover will mean instant disqualification from not only the current poll but also from all future Love Bytes polls.
